Chartbuster .. just my thinking but wouldn’t you want the entrance to the mine at the nearest point to Telfer to reduce either road transport or conveyor belt length ?

Those are interesting videos of Cadia and augers well for HAV. Brings back memories of the crushers I worked on in a copper mine many years ago !

That is very interesting and I wonder if they will employ any of those methods at HAV. Looks good on paper but I wonder how efficient it would be in real life ?

If it is anything like drilling for oil .. they can go straight down and then deviate or they can deviate from the start in any direction they like !

Trucker .. I think if GGP hang on to their Percentage of Hav. Through to production, you will easily see your place Or 2 in the sun !

Tom your comment made me go back snd have another look at Paddy’s charts ... here’s a thought .. as Hav and Scally slightly overlap .. what if they are both one big field ..WOW ! Maybe that is stretching a bit too much but who knows !

Great info Paddy .. wish I understood it better .. it certainly peaks the interest as to how big or bigger this could be ? Fingers crossed it is as huge as everyone is thinking !

Paddy .. like your assessment, but could it not be as I thought that they are drilling back towards the main area to see where the field ends.. hopefully directly below them or even further out .. if they hit gold going straight down before turning towards the other drill holes, they could turn in the other direction to see where it ends . Just a thought !

The Telfer gold mine was expanded in 1991, and in June 1995, the mine reserves were 3.8 million troy ounces, with resources at 7.3 million troy ounces. The annual production was 370,000 to 380,000 troy ounces of ore. In 1997, the mine reached the milestone of having produced 5 million ounces of gold.

Flashy, that’s GGP’s decision but if they are looking at long term profitability then ... they can either stay as a Jv or hold out for a mind blowing offer ... GGP will know as much as Newcrest what is down there ... all in my opinion of course !

I agree Paddy .. especially as the initial costs will be a lot lower than normal due to Hav’s location to Telfer. I am willing to wait a couple of years for this, as it would be a seismic shift in the share price ...

Paddy .. going by that in my opinion it would be crazy for GGP to sell their final stake in Hav. As in just a couple of years the returns on this ( if the figures we believe 20/25m Oz ) turn out to be correct then that 25/30 % could be worth billions !
