Why after DW has ruled this out, do people think it is a wise move - that's the Con part!
It is Silly to think of 88e's value is reflected by the market. Mostly the market comprises traders who like instant things like Nescafe, Smash and TV Dinners. They are not interested in the value of a 40 million year old product until it is in their fuel tank. The professional valuers are the guys behind the FO. We will be able to assess that valuation quite soon.
If a builder like Persimmon wants to buy land, the share-price of the Land-Bank owning the plot is irrelevant before the land is purchased. Only when cash is on the table does the sp become relevant when the shareholders want to take their cut. Likewise the sp of 88e is only significant to LTI's once some or all our product is sold. The sort of II we would attract would not concern themselves with the SP - no way would a Pension Fund invest in an Exploration Company - far too risky from both time and profit perspectives. Any II's we would attract are "fleet of foot" Sophisticated Investors, and very discrete about when they enter or indeed leave the auditorium.

An interesting point in that article about throughput in the pipeline, for the few posters who keep stating that we will "be shutting down for winter".

The 499,103-barrel average for 2019 is unlikely to improve much in the last days of the month (i.e. June2019) as the combination of warm weather and scheduled maintenance makes summer the least productive season for companies on the Slope.

Hope DW will be publishing the drilling plan for winter soon after the FO deal sees the light of day.

We know that the paperwork is in the mincer and the sausages will start to appear soon. The tech savvy guys are now putting plans together and setting out a programme. We will get one sausage at a time but there is a lot more being processed than we can see.

Why would anyone be selling. Lots of value yet to be realised. The news was affirmatory, quantitative information will follow when paperwork is rubber stamped and registered. SP will move substantially once we get a "fuller disclosure" of issues that add value to our investment.Could be weeks away yet - but we now know it's on its way. Hope to see sp rise but not expecting much before then.
Some will sell at 3p others at 5p but next time we drill (6 months?) we could be in double figures - so not rushing.

Typically, Utube nailed it - sort of !
In reality, the cannon ball would have vapourised before it got anywhere near the centre of the earth - which simmers away at 6000C, but iron burns somewhere around 3,500C. Come to think of it, the drill bit would turn to mush too.
Maybe Wednesday will be our turn, it's all theoretical anyway.

Sea water freezes at about -3C (depends how salty), but saturated brine freezes at -21C or so.
From my youth I remember trawlers used Salt and Ice to keep fish below -4C (funny how trivia pops into ones grey cells). Permafrost melts when hot oil passes through it - but as we've not had much of that, DW pours a few cans of diesel down the pipes, come winter, to stop the pipes from cracking. Why do they call it PERMA-frost ? (clue!)

Not only are we still in June, we could now have to factor in another stock market. It is still Monday morning in New York. We do not know from where the first announcement will come.

I think the word "transformational" applied to the Year, rather than the FO.
The FO is a means to an end - which takes us to the planned drilling programme which will kick off in December (or as soon as we have sufficient snow on the ground.
The FO will move us up a gear, and will effectively re-value the business. When the conventional drilling programme kicks off we will get a Turbo Charger.

Unknown? 50:50 maybe.

Just tried same calc as earlier:
Vol Bought + Vol Sold is NOT equal to the VOLUME figure on the Share Price tab
out by 100 shares !

The trade which coincided with the revised bid change was a sell (if numbers are to be believed).
How come a sell pushed up the bid? I'd have thought the opposite.
I'm no expert, I hasten to add - but when things seem to fly in the face of logic, I'm sceptical.

Price now up 2.8% based purely on the MMs changing the spread (11.7 to 5.3%) - no manipulation (yeah, right !)

The sum of the parts # to the total.
I find the Beta site is very "jumpy" on my mobile.
No sooner has it painted the page, and my eyes get in focus, allong comes an advert and pushes everything down, then another insert or two - doing my head in.

Big Day and Big Buys too, that is buys of more than 1/4M shares.
The day is young, but if this is as a result of "leakage", Monday will be stupendous.
Knowing how tight lipped 88E & BEX are, they will not be the source - but we have lawyers, negotiators, another partner, several PR teams, NOMADs, and uncle Tom Cobley - all come before the PI's in the information game.

It would be interesting to know when that £65k order was placed. Maybe that's why MMs keping the lid on this. Could be another biggee in the pipeline.

I would favour some initial bullet points, including one that said "...this now enables all parties to finalise our 3 year drilling plans for conventional, and to initiate a programme at YG, plus release sufficient funds for 88e/Bex to progress a lateral drill next summer into the HRZ, subject to permits."
Then to conclude with "more details on the agreement to follow", plus a new presentation to outline our "3-year plan to include projects other than those covered by this FO deal".

I hope we will get a prolonged, sustainable upward sp trend by progressively revealing plans and results of 3D analysis as well as partnership deals with neighbours at YG & Winx. Too early to talk about royalties, but I long for sustainable income or funding to minimise need for further CR's. Then we'll be smokin'.

Will we see some activity this afternoon?
If we don't get an Ann of ASX tonight, I can't see anything happening on LSE until Monday.
The announcement will also affect our new partner, so unsure if NYSE might also get a news bulletin (depends if it's a USA company).
Most of the patient posters are sitting quietly, sipping tea - this BB is like the tip of an iceberg - a lot more investors are out of sight. When she blows, she'll BLOW !

Thanks for the link MoneyHawk - I found the table of BoD holdings a bit of a jumble.
DW used to have over 100M shares, including options, but it looks like he allowed 44M to expire - there again I'm not sure I read it right.
I suppose he could buy more direct from the market cheaper than the settlement fees at present - that would boost the sp value (I think we'd have got an RNS if he'd already done so.)
