RE: Very east to see 500 m market cap9 Jan 2026 16:57
Didn't GGP reach a billion mcap when it was still a junior explorer with zero revenue?
This is not to say that OMI will reach a £500 million mcap, and of course there are lots of important differences between OMI now and GGP back then, but anything can happen in a crazy bull market.
A key point to make is that if gold reaches 5000-6000, then even if it were to correct 20-30%, PEPAS is still a big money earner with its low AISC. So its a cash cow that will thrive regardless of whether gold is still in a bull market. Furthermore, as stated previously, the size of PEPAS is going to be much larger than we think. Meaning its going to be a much bigger cash cow than the current calcs.
Then you have all the other projects, which if not individually, certainly combined, will dwarf PEPAS in terms of millions of ounces, but all potentially fundable through PEPAS. So if or when OMI goes into production, it will end up as a mid tier mining company with millions of ounces in the ground. When you think of it like this, suddenly that 500 million mcap starts to look very small indeed?
