RE: I thought this was the OMI board21 Feb 2026 13:54
I think people are not factoring into this discussion, or enough, the difference between investing into it and swing trading it. It's a great share for either approach, or a combination. Also, this is not an exercise in synchronised swimming. None of us are in the exact same position as anyone else and so we shouldn't have the same views. Even amongst LTH, there will be different situations. As I have said before, if you are going to be a LTH, which basically means investor, you really need to have strong conviction and a strong stomach. This means the ability to sit through 50% retracements (sometimes larger) and months of watching paint dry. You also have to sit through wider market events, and if you post on BB, you have to endure the negative views on them and trolling. These only matter if persuasive enough for you to question or change your own.
This my longest ever hold on AIM. It's rare for me to hold any share for this long and through multiple retracements. I was recently sitting on 15 bags when it hit 40p (from my initial buy). I was NOT tempted to sell and feel relatively relaxed by yet another big retracement. No sickening feelings of "if only..."
I am actually surprised at myself. I think the reasons for why I am feeling relaxed are basically threefold
1) We are very early into the story here and the £13 million spend.
2) We are trading in the normal zone for OMI, with 40s representating the top end of this zone.
3) The uptrend remains in tact.
This all means that I am confident there is more than enough newsflow to come here to take us back to the top of this normal zone. I appreciate that there is NO guarantee of this, but I consider upside from these levels to be highly likely given the intended operational activity. There are multiple events that are likely to occur here, or could occur, that will generate this upside. Some might only put a few pennies on the share price, others a lot more, but collectively they ought to get us back to 41p and hopefully beyond.
It won't take much for fomo to re-appear here. And after a sell off, it won't take too much for higher floors to be set, and give us another platform for a move up. This is just MY analysis and doesn't have to be yours. But don't listen to nonsense on here, whether rampy or negative from personal agendas.
