So Avacta hire a IVD product manager, move their animal health marketing manager to the diagnostics division and now this guy turns up...…they sound very confident to me.

Haha, might get accused of deramping now for suggesting Big Al is only aiming for 300p. For the record I think he will clear that price with ease and probably by the end of Jan:)

Been looking over the share options in the recent annual report and if I'm reading this right , it would seem A Smith has a large award of shares due end of next year as part of the JSOP. Its definitely in his interests to get the share price above 300p to get his full award of 1,144,149 shares..........kind of puts his recent sale into perspective:)

Note 4 – This option provides that, unless waived at the discretion of the
Remuneration Committee of the Board and it has not lapsed, it will vest as to
one quarter of the award if the share price on 31 December 2021 is at or above
150p per share. If the share price on 31 December 2021 is at or above 300p
per share then one half of the award will vest. A linear sliding scale will operate
should the share price fall in the range between 150p and 300p on 31 December
2021. The remaining one half of the award is based on achieving certain
technical and commercial milestones subject to a minimum share price floor
of 37.5p per share on 31 December 2021. On the assumption that the vesting
conditions are met and the options are exercised then the option holder cannot
sell the shares prior to 31 December 2023.

Reason I'm overweight in Avacta Scardey. Lots of "shots on goal" only need 1 to come off and were away.

I check the Avacta website fairly regularly and it seem they have updated their therapeutic pipeline in relation to the cell and gene therapies. Just a brief description but interesting how they describe the therapies as “off-the-shelf” products. This JV looks really exciting and Avacta own 45% of it. Phase 1 trials possibly starting soon for the neutralising affimers as part of a stem cell therapy. Remember similar technologies have been acquired for over 1 billion dollars.

Cell and Gene Therapies
Avacta and Daewoong Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. have established a joint venture in South Korea, and entered into a collaboration and license agreement for the joint venture to develop the next generation of cell and gene therapies incorporating Affimer proteins to enhance the immune-modulatory effects.

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are promising agents for the treatment of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The joint venture will develop a new class of MSCs that are primed to produce Affimer proteins, which are designed to enhance the immune-modulatory effect when administered to patients, by reducing inflammatory or autoimmune responses.

Daewoong will provide the joint venture with access to its proprietary technology for generating allogeneic MSCs from a single donor to treat a large number of patients. This proprietary technology facilitates developing cell therapies as “off-the-shelf” products.

Avacta will develop Affimer proteins against several undisclosed targets which will be transferred to the joint venture to be incorporated into MSCs. The resulting engineered MSCs will have broad ranging therapeutic utility, depending on the Affimer proteins’ intended therapeutic purposes.

I also think there is an NDA which is stopping Avacta from discussing its tests in greater detail. Up until late Aug/early Sept they were updating regularly, which is right around the time that MP’s were mentioning the holy grail test. I think the Avacta/Cytiva prototype was the holy grail, its just that it was too customised and not scalable at that time, it may be soon though. Avacta have had to go back to the drawing board with BBI to produce a scalable test which will still the best out there imo. Don’t you find it strange that BBI and Abingdon never mention Avacta? Even “fog horn Gerry” doesn’t tag Avacta in his numerous Twitter posts anymore all leads me to think it’s down to an NDA. We know Avacta has news to report, laboratory and protein facilities expanded, ISO accreditation, Affyxell going into phase 1?, non covid pipeline projects. During covid mania companies have been reporting on everything under the sun, yet Avacta sit quietly and confidently. I topped up today and feel very confident in my research.

Oh and I believe Big Al is taking the flak for Cytiva’s unscalable(at the time) prototype and probably the government changing the goalposts. He is sacrificing his reputation as he knows we need to keep all parties onboard and not publicly out them for their failings. Don’t worry Al, when you pull that government order out of your back pocket, which I suspect has always been there, a few shareholders will ring you up to apologise:)
