I’m still here… TOM by far my longest holding of any stock.
I still see my holding as a very big gamble, a risk I’d like to reduce actually.
When you’ve waited every year for the Money, and stupidly not trade the Spikes. I still hope to learn how this all fits together, who has control of what and deadlines for land have been made.
Incidentally, 15th Nov is my Birthday, so……….
Love the thought of starting a fight without you.. I watched Fight Club recently and had images of a lonely man at back of Tesco’s punching and grappling with himself :)
Additionally, it’s funny how most ( ok, some ) Posters, publicise it’s a great 2year hold investment, you see the vision in Management etc
Then moan within 2/3 months it’s not at your desired level
The Dips and peeks are more in recent times IMO, due to impatient profit seekers chasing the next hype.
So Ghana is a big drag on our rating or future rating upgrades?
A good read, nice to review the information on the nail biting but successful RBL terms for the mid term, not so long ago.
I feel warm and fluffy that the BOD can be trusted a little more with debt reduction in focus. Moody’s expects TLW to not even need to Utilise our Full available Debt levels.
Every LTH should read, and then I hope some stop mentioning possible Divi’s in the future.
Reduce Debt, invest the rest back in.
Happy to hold 2 years. I believe we’ll fly through the next Senior Notes in a couple of years.. Oil IMO is stable around $65 / $75 with no big nasty RNS’s, POO any higher is just a comfort blanket. And we’re currently loving a very warm Blanket in high Oil prices for the foreseeable.. IMO
Not as many as I thought.. And someone mentioned the BB's are not even being cancelled ? ? ?
https://www.bp.com/en/global/corporate/investors/information-for-shareholders/shares-in-issue-and-share-buybacks.html
It was noted on here, maybe by HappyInvestor, I did not verify myself at the time, although the comment was that after the Buy Back Programme, there would be something like 10% less Shares in Issue..
Anyone verify / confirm or clarify this ?
IMO, for the LTH's in BP, further buy backs are more beneficial and should continue.. It's easy for the Behemoths like BP to constantly increase through Options, bonuses etc.
IMO less Share's in issue now and a further reduction through buybacks are better to increase the floor of the SP, and even the 4% increase in Divi's could be justifiably improved on, as less shares to pay out on.
Keep buying your own BP, keep buying while it's under £4.00
Just take a look at the BBC News Home page.
Petrol & Diesel near record high EVER.
Energy firms going bust daily.
USA Energy Crisis and several Cities are going to be hit hard in winter.
Energy bills for consumers rising considerably.
Black outs in a significant amount of countries.
Giant Wind Turbines being installed, and bigger to come.
Supply Chain Supply Chain Supply Chain is the buzz at the moment.
And many more stories and challenges to face..
We get excited and Post Daily fractional % changes in POO, but yet, there is a deep rooted underlying issue globally and most being brushed under the Political Carpets..
IMO Only, I think the Stink is possibly going to hit the fan soon , in 1 or many and a Domino’s effect make the next few years pretty damn tough..
As and when I have funds, I’m sticking them in Stocks which dip or are unloved.
I’ll possibly slice if there’s a big spike once the energy situation is really realised and in full swing, as I’m sure it’s just the Bottlenecking of everything globally and normal daily life will resume.
IMO, and I’ve done my own research
David Coulter, interested in the Gold Coins, what type if you don't mind me asking ?
I've collected World Money since the age of 6, Cracking collection of a vast range, only 2 Gold Coins though, small Sovereigns.. Really wanted / want more to add.
TLW are increasing their % of Hedging from 60 %, increasing to 75 %, "seen when I googled the Cap on Hedging"
So those that keep spouting TLW making loads of money @ $80, please stop ;o) ( Wait for next round of confirmed Hedging Data )
Some individuals post on here for the sake of reading their own posts.
So they are pretty big buys then.
Can you tell how many shares are in free float for a company?? Or do the MM’s just sit on large quantities of shares??
I know there’s been some chunky sells recently, but thought they were mostly brought up as and when.
Just wondering really??
Anyway, I suppose something is about to pop with good news IMO, as £110k is a lot of dough and confidence for a company like TOM
I think in the mindless and confused ranting that Jubilee makes, he has crossed over Profiles and didn't actually mean you Anton?
Maybe Jan, or the other from ENQ wind ups ?
Anyway, ignore Jubilee, he's just always angry and ranting ;o)
Thriller,
sadly your right. Quality is substituted for profits. As we buy shares, we approve as we want gains.
As a house Buyer, you're probably looking to renovate / upgrade within a few years, that's if you don't need to put in a full scale claim to the Builder...
In my opinion only, 1 of the Builders needs to seriously " Level Up ", IE, only building their homes to PassivHaus Standards.
WIN WIN in my opinion based on Insulate Britain getting all excited and stopping gluing their hands together, homes that are fit for the future, Carbon Zero etc etc..
Otherwise, IMO building Homes to current Standards is literally not adequate enough, and levelling up on Standards, creates a better Housing Development, creating better area's to live, Zero Fuel Costs and a Premium Cost for the end result.
PS: A little tie in with LLOY would be great considering they want to own / build a few Homes themselves, even for Part sales Part Rental's for on-going income and still have the Property on their books for their share holders..
Am I a fool ( probably ), anyone with similar thoughts ? Or anyone want to smash me down ;o)
GO!!!!
