Quite possibly. From memory it is US jobs data on Friday too. Still holding firm above the so called $1800 physiological barrier.

Gold has been trading above $1800 for a couple of weeks now pushing closer to $1820. Would have thought the sp would have moved a little higher. Investors clearly not convinced of a rally yet on the back of any data coming from the US but imo the situation is not as 'rosy' as some governments want us to think it is.

Been invested now for several months at an average of 217. Bought as a safe investment that gives a better yield than any bank. I have read hundreds of post on why investing in boring TSCO without any vision should be avoided when there are companies out there that will offer better returns. Outside of the AIM casino I don't see the risk v reward (for me)m the FTSE.

It’s always going to be precious metal prices that will return investors a profit, not the yield. Normally retraces the amount paid out in any case so I suppose you have to be pragmatic.

Think dividend is pitched about right. Cash in the bank but costs going forward not guaranteed due to any new variants that may or may not emerge.
Other producers have gained in the last few trading days mirroring rise in spot prices.

Totally echo your thoughts Poker. Puts everything in perspective. I guess they will be contract workers too. Very little financial support for the families.

I think the price of both gold and silver has bottomed. Jerome Powell does not sound as bullish now. If that is the case then we should expect a rise in the sp and perhaps a reversal of the current trend. Perhaps some news on any interim dividend this coming week may give it a 'kick start'.

From the interims... 'Subject to creating sufficient distributable reserves, the directors anticipate announcing an interim dividend by the end of the month' of course the statement contains the word anticipate.

Patience finally paying off. Turning out to be one of my better decisions to go long here. Not an exciting investment in a company that does what it does but it always delivers. Very little downside or risk here.

Probably the same news article I read ‘back in the day’ prior to the announcement of the last P3 trial I had a very large holding (averaging down) circa 22p. I sold the lot at an average of 178p just before the readout.
From memory my portfolio at the time looked bleak. The profit bought me a second home in France which I renovated and sold on. Chin up!!

$1830 not $1330…..

Outlook looking very much better if the psychological level of $1800 is breached. (currently $1805) It is currently above the 20 and 50 day SMAs. It is currently at about the same 100 day SMA and analysts predict a close above that should see the next resistance of $1330 could be breached. Early signs of a trend reversal? Quite possibly.
Silver currently up 3%. I am sure we can hold on to todays gain and close above 160 if the spot price of gold holds at this level.

Personally I think the article was pretty mainstream in it’s content. Perhaps that is just coincidental with today’s sp rise. Probably the article would attract retail investors.
Maybe some news on the dividend has been leaked.
Just happy to see a rise:)

does seem to be outperforming other listed producers today. Today it may actually hold onto it's gains. Maybe a dividend news update has been reached and 'those in the know' have reacted accordingly. Not sure the retail investor is driving this on the back of the IC report but you never know.

Have to agree. After another couple of dividend payments the yield will give me a free ride here. A few posters 'missing in action# now. Only seem to offer advice when the sp is lower.

Certainly trading at a discount to the other big supermarkets. If it can break and hold at this level then I can see a rerate for TSCO irrespective of any thing else going on in this sector.

The sp was taken down by the UT. Just administrative book balancing. :)

I think if yesterday’s interims were outstanding beating anyone’s expectations then the sp would be exactly where it is today. MCs of PM producers are either overvalued or undervalued depending on analysts outlook on prices.
HOC’s strategy of diversifying away from their dependence of South America can only be good.
However, Peru needs foreign investment regardless of the Politics otherwise their currency will crash. Bought one tranche at just under 150 so will add if it falls below 140 or even consider averaging up if PM prices start to rise.
