Could not agree any more with your comment. This was the main reason on my decision to buy. There may be local issues that need resolving but they need the jobs and the industry. Their economy was tourism so environmental issues were at the top of politicians agenda. Not any more. I recently bought Sirius for the same reasons. They will be extracting from the North Yorks Moors something that would not have been talked about or even thought of 5 years ago. The reaction from the local news was all positive. IMO the sp is so cheap, when they are in production every investor here today will wish they had bought more. If problems arise with permits then it will be a great opportunity to buy on any weakness.

Nice to hear from you mate, are you still holding SLV, great results but sp a little too static. Mining sector will be great this year but already holding 3. Considering taking my profit from SLV and investing here. Would be interested in your thoughts. My opinion is that there is greater value with ORM at this price.

Stubborn little share, great results, no massive buying in prior to results so cannot understand the fall. Cannot see investors profit taking either. Will top up if there is more weakness to come.

Davy's analysis was a couple of days ago which I thought accounted for yesterdays rise but the rise has continued today. I think the sp is about right until more news is released. When production does start there is no reason why tungsten cannot be $400 so fixing a price at the moment is difficult. IMO I thing investors are positioning themselves for news that is likely to be positive.

Guys, all I was trying to point out is that you cannot put a value on investors expectations. We are all entitled to our own opinions. My opinion is that based on what we already know the likelihood is that the sp will continue to rise. To what level before production starts is again a matter of opinion and discussion. No matter what anyone's entry point is at the moment if your prepared to be patient then ORM should return a handsome profit. GLA

I cannot see the sp being in the 20s when production does come online. I see the current value based on expectations which is impossible to value as each expectations are different. You are probably right with the value of the current sp but willhave to see where sentiment takes it as it approaches 2012.

Posting on iii site c/o bloodinthestreet. Davy has set a price of 18p which is very conservative as that price is based on tungsten trading at $250 but is currently trading 30% above that set price. Nice steady climb and still largely ignored.

Thanks mate, I am not concerned about the fluctuation of price, that is inevitable and can be offset with production costs being low in comparison to other producers. I was looking to top here or with ORM which also have access to metals at low extraction costs. Thanks for your thoughts. 8:)

What are your thoughts on whether the price of platinum has peaked or not and if so what effect on the sp. Today SLV have stood up pretty well in comparison to other mining stocks. Have you had a look at ORM? I'm in 2 minds which of my mining stocks to top up on.

I am holding long with ORM but happy with recent rise. IMO demand will keep the price of metals high, despite the dollar. That sentiment will be reflected in the sp. I also understand that the minerals are very close to the surface (for the time being) which reduces extraction costs. I think China, India, Brazil ect will cancel out any slowdown elsewhere and demand for natural resources if anything will rise. Seems like we are involved in sectors likely to gain in value this 12 months. GLA

I intend holding long term, there will be a lot of money coming to the mining sector in the next 6 months. It is only logical to me that demand will increase...not so sure about the recent drop in sp but assume it is investors getting bored. ORM moving along now, another one to sit back and watch with confidence. HMV board invested with w*****s at the moment and feel sorry for the long term holders there.. Are you still keeping an eye on PVCS? Sentiment seems to be changing. Well, will have to get my horses fed now before their milk round, brrrrrrrr freezing in Blighty.. lol

Thanks mate, that will be appreciated. From what I have read any fall in the price of tungsten can be offset by their low operating costs.. My personal view is that demand will be there driven by China and India which of course should generate the returns for SLV shareholders.

Anyone here invested or looked at ORM? anyone staying clear? I have been watching this company for a few months now and the potential looks good, may need to raise funds in the future but demand for tungsten is there. Operating costs look good to. Syn I am more than happy to take on board some of your comments and passed over some others but unlike yourself I am quite at ease being lazy when it comes to research. Of course I look at the numbers before buying and always consider whether it is a company to invest in or not. An investor posted a comment on the HMV board that some of the comments I had made persuaded them to invest. It was not until I researched the number of shares out on loan and the naivety on my part to underestimate the power of short selling that I decided to sell. I stated the reason at the time and continue to warn investors of the pit falls of investing in a company with 20% of shares out on loan. I have said before, there is no problem following sheep, as long as you pick the right one. 70% up on my investment with the welsh company, I def picked the right sheep. If FIF does not return a profit for me then I wont be looking at putting your carcass on the BBQ. My adult finger is the one that presses the buy and sell button. Have been watching researching SLV since syntaxity mentioned them several weeks ago, not too bothered about timing of my entry point, I had set myself a target of below 45p. and was fortunate enough to get in. Investors here seem experienced and switched on with great research. Look forward to a profitable return 8:)

In at 44.5 and was pleased to see it finished flat. Hope you don't feel like your being stalked. lol I have done my research and very comfortable with my investment. 8:)

Still mulling the figures, was a bit slow off the mark with IQE, numbers seem ok.. As for trends such as gluten free I remember Icelands pursuit of selling only food that was not genetic modified... not a good move. I have pfd as a recovery share but this seems primed for a swift move north... Itchy fingers here for a buy. :-)

Watching this share for a while. Was on holiday and missed the chance to buy below 60p. I will let the dust settle and sieze the opportunity..typical market reaction to nothing we did not already know. I also think that there is a bit of profit taking after the recent steady rise; hence this being aver sold and looking cheap.
