Looks like you have picked another winner here. Remember I posted on the IQE bb last year about following sheep. I still maintain there is nothing wrong in human nature following sheep as long as you picked the right one. Sold IQE at 58p (pure luck) but kept my initial investment only to sell when the shares went out on loan. Currently positioned very nicely with an oily and my SXX have done me proud. Also hold ORM as my mining share. Down 10% but likely to reverse that once production starts. Not invested in any other company since February and intend to sit on my hands. I remember you posting a comment on the IQE board about debt and the possible consequences, on that I congratulate your foresight. Still very scary out there and def no Euro fix today. SLP are looking good to me. Are you still invested there? atb. will have a look here tonight when the current Mrs Leas is in bed. 8;)

had this on my watch list and cannot believe the massive drop. My hesitation to invest has always been the emerging economies that seem to be gobbling up the planets manufacturing. We develop and they steal. We cannot compete with a slave workforce despite the lack of quality. Good luck those nursing a loss. Fingers crossed that any bid rumour may help the sp along.

You are quite right about doing your own research before buying and tbh we have all learnt from our mistakes in the past. I would also say that holding ORM it will be a lesson that you will profit from. There are many oil companies and mining stocks that have never made money with very big MC's. You only have to look at the DES debarcle. You are quite right with your observations and the sp reflects that. One thing of note, especially with tungsten extraction, costs will be low and a commodity in high demand. From the IQE investments, I know your no idiot and your comments are constructive which has opened up discussions on a very quiet bb. Enjoy the rest of Easter.

3 buys this morning, all nicely timed and all completed after one another. Someone feeling confident. Would not surprise me if news comes out soon. IMO this will be a little gem of a share and still off a lot of members radar. GLA

IMO good opportunity to build a good position here, especially whilst this company is off so many people's radar. When the permit is signed and production approaches the sp at today's price will look very cheap. I cannot see the price of tungsten getting any cheaper by 2012 even 32p will look cheap. Extraction cost are also believed to be low, win situation written all over it. No doubt bid rumours will circulate as the end of 2012 approaches.

Nik Stanojevic of Brewin Dolphin, the stockbroker, points to Ormonde Mining, a small AIM-listed mining exploration company that operates in Spain. As well as searching for copper and gold, it is also at the forefront of exploration for one of the less known metals, tungsten, which is used in machine parts, electronics and military applications. Mr Stanojevic says "Tungsten is a very small market but ticks all the boxes for a desirable commodity."

Was you ever tempted to sell when they reached 22p? You deserve a payout with these shares. Longest I have held a share was 5 years with Electronic Boutique (now Game) bought those for 2p and sold for 180p. Making money seemed to be so much easier then. lol. I currently have about 70% in MXP which is not an ideal situation to be in but should start rising soon after recent placement. I see ORM more as a long term play and cannot wait for them to go into production unless they do get bought out as discussed before.

Agree, new high is easily achievable, been rising steadily all week. Not sure if it is completely down to the recent drill analysis or news on the applications being signed. If it is the latter then these should find new higher support levels. This share is a little gem, quietly plodding on. Any twitchy investor IMO would have sold when it fell back to 10p last month.

Onwards and upwards. Any positive news on the application for the mining concession will take this to new levels. IMO the local economy needs this to get off the ground as much as ORM needs the concession signed. Guys we should be united in sharing experience and knowledge to maximise our profits. Just also mention that ****ehawk who is a YELL shareholder is down almost 10% today. I decided not to take his advice and sell ORM this morning when I realised that a large proportion of shares are out to shorters. I will refrain from posting any comments on that bb as I do not get any pleasure from pi's losing money although it would be nice to say I told you so. GLA

Your post at 1401hrs would suggest more than a caution to newbies. Not sure of your agenda but your views are without 'substance' There are noted out today based on research from recent drills and not been ramped up in any way by investors here. Do you believe any future placing is an indication of a struggling company. If so you have evidenced to me your lack of experience. The alternative is that you may feel very insecure with your own thoughts and emotions and have the need to destroy any form of success. I bet your popular down the pub.

Not entirely true, the current Mrs Leas was in at 4.9p and I joined her at 9p. Although I did fund her purchase. lol. I recently sold my SLV at a small profit to fund further buying on recent weakness here and as stated before will continue to do so. Not really too concerned here for the short term, ORM will attract a lot of attention when producing so happy to sit back. GLA

Thanks gents for your comments and advice, I had not considered a future placing to develop the company. How silly to have invested my hard earned cash at 4.90p in such a company. Having read some of your previous constructive comments on this bb I will sit up and take notice to your well intended advice. I was considering selling first thing in the morning and investing in JJB, YELL or HMV instead, any advice prior to the market opening will be appreciated.

Mulled, thanks for the update, 50% rise in last 6months. Wow, where will that price be when they go into production. Vonny, IMO if they did do a placing it is not always a bad thing, especially if it meant they could extract more and increase production. If it was just for exploration then I would be concerned but not with ORM. I hold IQE, when they had a placing several months ago the sp rose significantly because ii's saw it as a way of increasing capacity. I say let the BOD get on with their job and trust their decisions.. so far so good. GLA

2 years time and investors will be kicking themselves for not taking a position earlier. Very little risk and so much potential. It would be nice to see them staying independent but the demand for tungsten IMO will not fall much from it's current level and is likely to rise. With low extraction costs and the high prices a TO is likely.

I hope that ORM stays independent so it will realise its true potential. IMO the Chinese would make a bid when production is online in order to control the price and in real terms is small change based on MC. ORM is not 'in vogue' at the moment because investors see short term gains elsewhere. I have said before that if this was an oil company then the sp would be double. I cannot see tungsten getting cheaper to buy and demand will only rise. I will continue to add on any weakness. GLA

I posted the link last week but failed to load. Here is a summary.......................But Northland wasn’t the only company on peoples’ lips over sandwiches and mini quiches. Kerr Anderson of Ormonde Mining was another man much in demand. His presentation of the Ormonde story had kicked off proceedings in lively fashion earlier in the day. He told how Ormonde’s Barruecopardo tungsten project is gradually progressing towards a production decision, and in the context of a rising tungsten price. The plan is to build a mine that will eventually account for eight per cent of non-Chinese global mine tungsten supply, for the relatively modest cost of €30 million. And if that wasn’t an enticing enough prospect, the company still has its old La Zarza copper-gold project on the books, though the manager is now the much more formidable Antofagasta. Watch for more news on that as the year progresses too. Following Kerr onto the stage was Greg Hawkins, chairman of Canadian-listed Yellowhead Mining.

The price is not showing 13p but closing up .13p at the close on Friday. Sorry if I got your heart racing a tad. lol The sp is correct on this bb but it did not close down 2.11%. Hope this clears up my ambiguous posting. Looking forward to see where this goes this week. 8:)
