There have been no TR1's for reduced holdings, so big holders have kept their positions plus a new one has joined them.

That's the thing steve626. There has to be truth in the company being in discussion with the Government and expecting to get a PSC as the the alternative is almost impossible to contemplate.

However, it just does not add up based on what we know and it's concerning the company aren't clarifying the situation. If there are ongoing "sensitive" discussions then the Company should be able to agree a form of words with the Government to clarify things. Why would the Government in charge be tip-toeing around Petros? How can it possibly take this long? If that's because of a dependency then why is it a secret?

That's quite an accusation shamI89. If UPL are reading this maybe you'll hear from their lawyers.

Ok, well, does anyone have an option why the company remains silent. It makes no sense to me. Either the deal is happening or it's not and Petros will put it out for bid next year.

The discussions can't be just ongoing all this time. Are they all locked in a room being brought beer and pizza?

I don't think anyone is suggesting the UPL Team are fools, just that Petros has taken them by surprise by pulling the rug leaving them to seek a solution through political means.

The email comment from the Company about "taking comfort" in the director share purchases just adds to the hypothesis the purchases were staged.

It smells like something big has changed and the Company is covering it up as they hold out hope.

.....but the bod are tight lipped. We could be in for a surprise. Let's hope it's a good one.

I disagree. The amounts were tiny and appear staged.

It's hard to believe everything needs to be so secret and I don't think anyone is taking comfort in the directors purchases.

With the "PSC Submissions and Regulator Engagement" planned to complete by the end of August and the rig reservation expiring on 12 September (assuming it didn't end 12 July) something better happen soon!

I think I have this right. The initial 3 month rig reservation cost 75,000EUR and expired 12 July. It would have cost 50,000EUR to extend to the final date of 12 September assuming it was extended....

Feels like it's about time UPL spelt out the situation.

Yeah lovelife that's what I'm thinking, but it's beginning to bother me the Company keeps issuing cryptic messages rather than anything of substance or just keeping quiet.

I don't understand how the X post has anything to do with UPL. Why did they post it?
