Quickly reading it ,they protest Pavel's innocence state it was gaz Prom Bank and Strukov that had him incarcerated, they then say that the sale to UMMC saved petropavlovsk How odd. It seems to me they want if known that Pavel is willing to accept the new status quo for freedom, meanwhile the share holders were shat upon.
"According to the results of the completed judicial investigation, the interrogation of witnesses and the study of the written materials of the criminal case, it seems obvious that there is no actual event of the crime and, in general, any guilt of Pavel Maslovsky in committing it, which is 100% grounds for an acquittal.
We know the result. There was no acquittal.
The unfair verdict was passed despite the obvious inconsistency of all the evidence of the investigation, despite the crystal clear exculpatory testimony of witnesses, despite the facts and common sense. Despite all the high and very correct words about justice, uttered literally a week ago from the rostrum of the All-Russian Congress of Judges (including by President Vladimir Putin).
The corporate conflict with the new shareholders - Konstantin Strukov and his allies from Gazprombank, which resulted in this criminal case against Pavel Maslovsky - is long in the past.
"Petropavlovsk" for these two years changed its owners, ceased to be a British company, and finally returned to Russia. But this happened not through the efforts of those new shareholders who launched a corporate conflict, and not through the talents of the new management that replaced Pavel Maslovsky, but rather the opposite. The company was almost brought to bankruptcy, thousands of people could lose their jobs, and efficiently working and extracting the gold that the country needed so much, the mines could be mired in litigation with creditors for years.
Literally miraculously, this was avoided. Now "Petropavlovsk" has a new owner - the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company, and I would like to hope that the Urals will be able to maintain the pace of work of the largest gold miner and not let it "die".
What's next? Maslovsky's defense will continue to fight - the verdict will be appealed at all instances, and we sincerely hope that justice will still prevail. The unjust punishment will be canceled, and Maslovsky will be returned to his honest name (which we did not doubt for a minute during the process, we do not doubt it now).
