Jay, I found when it came to crunch time with oil it was the same, tough talk before then the crunch and gone, reappear afterwards and boast at the price they bought in at! Usual routine.
One RNS with the mention of Ganfeng, Rio Tinto or similar and it will be a different story.
They will be unlucky if it is a buyout and they put a cease on trading.
With all of the interest I am expecting a bit of a wait.

Guido, if that agreement is solid, yes that is my conclusion too. It is the figure used in the repayment calculation, if it was a set figure lower than this it would have dictated the repayment period, which would have been longer than in the RNS. Unless of course there is no set price. Back then 2017 and slightly forward of this there were lithium infrastructure issues, demand was there but the infrastructure was not ready and some mines and factors had problems due to this, it looks as if Suay Chin opted for a loose contract.
Really the relationship and contract, assuming it is in place should be explained to remove speculation.
I thought I remembered Bernie saying we were not tied and were in a position to take full advantage of the lithium price rise, way back in either late 2020 or early 2021 but I could be wrong.

I don't understand how the study uses updated figures in the first 3 years, yet there is supposed to be an agreement set in 2017. Unless there is no set price it doesn't make sense.
Nobody would offer the price in the study back in 2017.
Any ideas?

Elcobble - agree silly headline as all explorers do is run up costs until a big pay day, usually sell the asset then start again.

Ricky can you find an RNS with the 'formal agreement' I have not seen one? Shareholders would need sight of this, so it must not have been completed.
If the fallback is the ability to match an agreement that is a big ask against major mining companies.
That part of the website needs some serious updating as does most of it.

I don't think he will contract the price per tonne, I am saying that we don't need 6k per tonne to be hugely profitable.
Also as I have continuously said, we are the first mining company not to have contracted on a previously agreed price, we are the first which is why we cannot use any previous deal as a reference point, they were all initially agreed at a lower spod price.
We have no such price agreement in place.

Daz cannot see him agreeing a cap unless it is a massive upfront payment.
We don't need 6k to make a huge profit, 4k per tonne would be huge for us and way beyond what any of us spoke about and nearer the guys who got their decimal points in the wrong place.
These figures are multiples ahead of anything long term holders dreamt of when talking in 2021 and before.

None of us know the level of interest that there is in Kodal, we have heard in the RNS that there is more than one major mining company. Another Lithium outfit said they had 11 interested parties in their mine.
Based on that information, I am expecting a bit of a wait. However, there is always the possibility of a partial update or leak.
One of the better reasons for a delay, rather than an RNS immediately because nobody was interested!

Bear in mind that in the past there were Chinese rumours which were untrue and Bernie had to make a statement.
Under the current circumstance of discussing various offers it is unlikely that Bernie will say anything, until they are concluded.
We are in a fortunate position of a lot of interest offers, which means so many possibilities, one guess will no doubt be correct. Bernie may not know the final outcome yet either.

Paper China has some of the biggest players and cash rich companies so they are odds on With America and others looking to assist their own domestic market and companies to avoid some of the globalization issues highlighted with Covid and the Russian sanctions, maybe this mine may be of more significance to the Chinese companies than before.
I am excited to see the way forward, if it is one of the usual or something different.

It depends on the size of the offer. If there is a huge offer it is pointless taking any risk and proceeding with any of the project. Afterall a business is to make money, not work for the sake of it.
There are a lot of unexpected and unorthodox ways of proceeding across the world due to the extremely high lithium price and short and medium term shortage of supply. Almost anything is possible.
Whatever way forward we go will be good but very difficult to predict in this crazy market.
I am just waiting for the start of communications. So much interest it may take a while.

Best just wait for the RNS to arrive, Bernie mentioned more than one, so we are expecting a few.
Effectively it is like a tender.
A mining company would likely be doing all of the mining and probably all of the cost, so it may not be a conventional JV.

We are waiting for a succession of RNS releases which will indicate a timeline for our return and the amount of return.
Buyout would be immediate, JV half and half, interest free funding tied to an agreement 2 years.
No matter what it will be good news.
