AMC jump 15% on stating they should have 70% open and they are back at pre-Covid levels.

Cineworld is hot on their heels and it is 1/3 of its pre-Covid19 levels.

Happy to be patient and knowing that there are many more movies stacked up to release.

I think if you read the last results, yes there is a loss, but given Covid19 and a strict lockdown with virtually zero cars, lorries and buses on the road, planes parked up and most oil dependant industriies temporarily closed what else did you expect !! All that said the rest of the results read well with several near improvements to increase production.

Economies are now reopened and things are getting back to normal and the oil price is twice what it was back then and we sell it profitably at present levels.

It should never have been anywhere close to 20p and should be in the thirties, if not forties.

Already 300 Regal cinemas reopened after 100 more opened at the weekend. The one thing you cant argue with is the cash registers being turned back on into a Blockbuster combined with the American love of the movies.

EXCLUSIVE: The box office weekend projections for Warner Bros.’ Tenet just got higher. We can report that Regal Cinemas will have their cinemas reopened in time for this weekend’s release of the Christopher Nolan movie in New Jersey, Maryland and some cities in California.

As of tomorrow, Wednesday at 5PM, Regal will be reopening their theatres in San Diego along with two locations around El Dorado county and one in Sonora, CAa along with three in Anchorage, Alaska.

The Cineworld-owned chain will also open again in New Jersey as of Friday, and by 5PM on Friday, they’ll also be turning the lights back on in 11 locations in Maryland. The Oriole state recently announced the OK for movie theaters to reopen with a capacity limit at 50% , not to exceed 100 people per auditorium.

This marketing and advertising campaign is running in the background in the UK with paid for advertising to entice more and more cinema goers back to the movies.

What an even more striking disparity in share prices when in actual fact by the same date of September 4th we should have the same or more 70% of our American multiplexes open. It only serves to reinforce how cheap the Cineworld share price is by comparison.

Its pretty hard to default on a loan if you don't have to make any debt service or amortisation payments for three years.

Its a good deal for the Greidinger children.

Neutral for us I believe. Happy to be corrected but it seems to be the same shareholding with the terms of its financing renegotiated. The lenders have put a charge on the shares in the same way as when you have a mortgage your lender puts a charge on the property until its paid off.

Too much good stuff now going on @Cineworld that was previously in essence completely closed for 5 months, for us to be sat pathetically lingering at 60p and 1/3 of its pre-Covid share price against what is a fully recovered AMC Entertainment.

Or put it another way the USA where we have 75% of our cinemas are just kicking in big time and at the right time. 300 open already and more opening by the day.

Its not been wise for anybody to hold a short position after close of business these last few days and weeks. Some I feel just like getting frazzle after frazzle and then come back with the same depleted funds boosted by their pocket money for the same again.

Fundamentals are we are about 1/3 of the pre Covid share price and to which one of our industry peers has fully recovered.

Fundamentals are that the £4.4 Billion pounds (2019) revenue generators have just been switched on at Cineworld and Tenet is exceeding analyst expectations.

That'll do nicely for now.

Just think that instead of whatever manipulation went on yesterday and now dried up selling the market makers could have made a killing with another 40 Mill traded day today with the Cine share price tracking and catching up on AMC.

The shorts are burned as it stands I'm afraid.

They had sold the shares they took on loan and hence their short position status. They were banking on the price to fall to buy the shares back to repay. However after todays news and its interpretation as guaranteeing longevity the share price has gone up considerably. Therefore to repay the shares they borrowed they will have to pay more to buy them back.

The only way you qualify for discounted shares in a Rights Issue is if you actually own shares to qualify for the specific Rights, which of course the short positions do not as they sold them.

If you don't understand things then it is probably best that you steer clear.

Feel free to explain otherwise morphi but at this time they are burned.

Likewise putmeonthe list. They can recycle and churn the same shares over and over again to take away from hard working retail PI's to satisfy demand from new investors like Jangho or other increased holdings or what is more likely the case to reduce short positions.

The Cineworld share price is 1/3 of where it should be on an equivalent basis with AMC and at some point it either reflects that or it gets taken over. The Paramount decrees ruling paved the way.

Early signs seem to be pointing that way with just a few day traders who picked up stock yesterday selling. They'll probably have to pay a bit more to buy back.
