Another wasted weekend of posting and more money lost for the shorters.

All of Jangho's shares have been readily absorbed by others and that doesn't even include thos who have taken advantage of the sub 60p pricing.

From 5 months of cinema closures the tills are open again and Tenet solidly ringing in the sales.

We should have the more realistic picture of the Labour day weekend sales figures for Tenet when the actual Labour day itself, which is today, is over.

20% fall in share price for what is a 0.065% change in share ownership is unwarranted and oversold.

Just about to have a look at the short positions which we know has been coming down with a succession of recent reductions.

Here is the reason why

Its been interesting the last week to note that the share price has fallen from 68p to 58p in the la with the reason predominantly being Jangho selling down their holding from 5.06% to 2.06%.

But that 20% fall when you actually sit down and work it out has actually come off no more than a 0.065% difference in share ownership.

People seem to have forgotten to balance two large institutional shareholders having increased their stakes: Morgan Stanley and Polaris Capital.

Morgan Stanley increased their stake from 1.84% to 1.9% (26/8) then added again 1.9% to 2.66% (28/8) So added 0.82%.

Polaris Capital have also twice added to their stake. From 5.03% to 6.03% (26/8) and then to 7.145 (4/9) . So a gain of 2.115%

Added together the counterbalance is 2.935%

So Jangho sell 3% but two major institutions buy 2.935% of that.

For Tenet to make a profit it actually has to make over £200M so is well on course and 3/4 of the way there and with the theatre window only just recently opened in so many countries and still to do so elsewhere. Still half the USA to reopen as well.

It is being marketed shrewdly for a marathon and not a quick sprint and that works hand in glove with socially distanced return to the cinemas.

Then after that its DVD's and pay to rent on Netflix / Amazon / Itunes.

It is easily a winner several times over and well done Paramount for putting it through the Bocx Office.

Tenet beating expectation is great news for us and for all cinema operators and it is only going to grow further as more and more cinemas open and further confidence builds.

Still got this evenings numbers for the USA and Labour day itself to add to the numbers.

It looks like Paramount made the right decision with Tenet to go for the Box Office and we still have 50%of our cinemas to open into Tenet.

The indications off China and other markets are really good for opening weeknd takings so I expect some fairly decent gains Monday.

Tuesday and later in the day should be the actual day for true Tenet numbers reflecting the full of the Labour Day weekend. Remember they have to sleep and then get up and it'll be 2.30p.m. onwards if AMC or Cinemark decide to make their own comments.

Who has just opened approximately 50% of their Regal cinemas in the US into the blockbuster Tenet and on an American equivalent of a bank Holiday weekend?

Looks like we could be in for a very good week next week.

Tenet seems to be drawing in the customers and the cash at the tills.

This as well being the Labour day weekend in the US which means Monday is the equivalent of a Bank holiday. So Sunday and Mondays takings still to be added.

You are completely wrong jonmo the market never gave anything to the CINE share price when Jangho bought in nor when they increased their stake.

The things that moved the share price were

1,Cinemas opening
2. The Paramount decrees ruling - big mover
3. Peel Hunt broker note - big mover

All equally as relevant today as they were on Monday.

Cineworld paid £2.7 Billion for Regal cinemas alone and have Operations in 10 countries in total, so 9 other countries on top. £4.4 Billion of revenue generated last year.

Our market value tonight is sitting at under £800 Million.
