Volume doesn't match the fall.13 Oct 2020 17:57
Too big a fall today for the small trading volumes involved, some of which will no doubt have been buys.
Negative interest rates are only a bad thing if you are a saver, and the banks will be looking to capitalise on this with a fee. Far better if you are a saver buying the Banks sharesitself or decent interest bearing shares these days imvho.
If you are a borrower and customer of the bank with a mortgage, a car loan, a small or large business loan etc then MTRO and other banks will still be maintaining its margins and charges.
MTRO with its modern frontage and concentration in London, the Home counties and in main cities it will readily appeal to a competitor at the present market capitalisation of what is tonight only £109 Million.
