75,000 bopd with 60% hedged at $57 per barrel.
Another $500M asset sales being targetted.
Q3 results out circa 2nd week in November.
Capital markets day on 25th November when new CEO's asset maximisation strategy is unveiled.

30p must be realistic between now and the end of November

Great RNS off Tullow just out

Market slowly waking up.

This has only just started to hit the desks.

10a.m. RNS as opposed to a 7a.m. RNS has caught a few out.

Its definitely burned a few shorters and that is only just starting in the days and weeks to come.

$575 Million pounds coming their way.

Which should help transform their balance sheet.

Sometimes it is better just to switch off and let them get on with it.

How many traders sold up and have missed all the fun.

Back to 30p in no time.

One day 315p then 272p the next. Astonishing.

We had the trading statement just recently which showed things improving as its NETW key markets in the Middle East and Africa opened up again. So it would be nice to find any reason for todays fall as there does not appear to be any great volume to support it.

Will we get another "no known reason for the fall" RNS and another 5 directors buying shares as happened last time.

Great opportunity presenting itself again

It's a good RNS with improvement on many of the key measures.

Sadly and as many are alluding to there seems to be dark forces conspiring against the share price.

It got up to into the 64p's and then when demand started to falter in came the dark forces to pull it back down.

It doesn't take away though from a good RNS.

Its just a shame in this day and age that such blatant manipulation is allowed.

I've just bought a few for Q3 results which I think might be better than some are speculating on.
If so then we should see a swift about turn.

I have BP as worth about £3.00 per share in the present state of the pandemic and with the current emphasis on keeping economies open for business.

It's not only that but all the recent reports in the press are of the Chinese economy ironically now powering ahead and growing again. It has to be said that as a nation they have massive demand for all things oil, right from the fuel in their cars all the way through to the derivatives that make the plastics in mobile phones etc etc.

Its also an educated investment that there will be a vaccine out there in the UK and elsewhere by the year end and we can all get back to full normality thereafter.

Upon which an 8% dividend will be a nice annual bonus.

You pays your money and you takes your chances and I might add some more.

Fortunately I am a patient investor.

I think Mr Looney needs to deliver come 3rd Quarter update or your major institutions will be calling for both him and the Chairman to fall on their swords.

The market does seem to be forgetting that transitioning will take many many years and in the meantime BP will continue to produce a lot of oil daily at twice the price of what were Q2 pandemic lows.

Disappointed with todays antics. No reason for the fall other than making market.

No doubt it will be given back tomorrow.

Looking ripe for a further move.

We all know the massive benefit Tullow will gain from a completed $575 Million pounds coming its way. Not fooled by game playing to collect stock.

Great opportunity imo being openly presented.

Another good day and us getting back to a decent share price level for the news of the Ugandan assets sale to drop onto everybody's screens.

Should re-rate back up properly.

Looks like they have collected what they can into their swag bags and its back to business as usual.

Today's rise is justifiable one, backed by good volume and is worth far more so there should be several more rises to come in the following days.

When they tighten the spread on Tullow it normally means its going up so it might be worth grabbing what you can before the close, for stocked up they will probably gap it up in the morning.

Remarkable number of low single digit trades going through and being used to suck in some sells, or are they buys from earlier.

Are we worth more with $575 Million in the kitty?

Of course we are.

It will be interesting to see if SB purchased any more given the contents of the Pierre Jessau article.
