It is looking like anything under 104p today is being hoovered up.

Good opening into Godzilla versus Kong, Mortal Kombat next and between now and the end of May the reopening ramp up is at Cineworld is only going one way and vertically, as will the vaccines rollouts in the Us and UK.

Given the massive cash pile Aviva is imho a fairly safe play for any combination of four things. All good.

*Continuing good dividends
*Capital appreciation as economies "unlock"
*Return of capital
*Share Buy backs.

Not wishing to make anyone envious at all but a place I have visited several times, Gibralter, a UK principality has been maxxing its vaccine rollout with 90% of its population jabbed and the photos let you see just how quickly things get back to any new form of normal.

That should hopefully be coming to the UK soon enough and with it an HMSO share price that properly reflects all things open and money being spent.

Don't be surprised if it gets back imho to 42p and 43p in the short term. I did say some time back that MM led tree shakes can sometimes last minutes but other times can last days and weeks. Whoever it was now has the benefit of knowing that non-essential retail is opening on the 12th April which is only next Monday. Customers equal revenues and profits and rents and any back rents paid. Many have waited a year to get to vaccine backed reopening. As Boris Johnson says "permanent and irreversible"

And why not given we know that the Net Asset Value of HMSO is circa 82p. I had us just finishing marginally higher than CINE into the close but not complaining.

I expect that our UK shopping centres will now be starting to see a flurry of activity with lots of staff comings and goings dusting down the cobwebs and getting things stocked up and merchandised ahead of 12th April reopenings.

Its good to see all those movie release dates coming out to show just what wealth of films is coming our way. Even that list misses off the likes of Godzilla versus Kong, Mortal Kombat and some others.

Just across the back of all of that though here is how the Cineworld reopenings should pan out alongside that list with some steep ramp up coming in both April and May. Oh the joy of the Multiplex cinema for you can play catch up tv on the others you may have initially missed.

22 reopened so far in the US.

April 23: 54 more reopening in the US
May 7th: 179 reopening in US
May 14th: 153 reopening in US
17th May: Hopefully? 128 more sanctioned for reopening in UK (PM's roadmap)

Your interpretation Lovelace is slightly wrong and I suspect you have already sold.

Just to correct you though, Covid19 started showing itself in China prior to the end of 2019 (October / November 19) and then started to reverborate for a good few months before the UK Government decided to impose any lockdown. If you remember they were too slow to act.

So by my reckoning it should get back to somewhere near 175p to 200p in due course.

Not only that but the price you pay today is ultimately the price that any future dividends will be yielded against.

Don't forget also that these reopenings, and backed by a vaccine rollout, should be permanent and irreversible.

There is still a lot of upward mileage left between todays share price and pre-pandemic 175p levels (and the potential ultimately for a dividend that existed back then, once things normalise again). Yes there might be some new financial year ISA monies at play but the real question to be asking is whether CARD will fare better with its shops open or shut?

I don't think personally they could have done any worse in the pandemic given the departure of Karen Hubbard and with the Chairman doubling up (poor imho) and failure to market and capitalise massively in the online side of the business. CARD's mix presently is so heavily skewed towards retail that reopenings for sure will be the big bread winner.

Best of both worlds scenarios now in existence whereby the key cash generator can be switched back on from 12th April and the website(s) can only grow and add further.

They can in theory also now open 6 days a week till 10p.m.

Personally I intend to go out just after re-opening and buy all the cards I need for the next year just to give them some quick cash in the till. But then again I'm fed up having had to pay £2.50 or £3.50 for a card from Tesco's or WH Smith's.

It's a new ISA year Bonkers and there will be plenty new £20k investments and £40k investments (married couples) looking for a home with relatively good guarantee of a reasonable returns.
