It was nice of our market makers to dip the share price down again today and offer 61p given, how the court case is prevailing, and especially given Bond pre-sales. dyor. Happy to oblige at that price and just over all day long with any spare cash and on the brink of Q4. So much good news not reflected in the share price.

Recovering airline and leisure sector today and by the looks of it we have a bit of catching up to do percentage wise to make up previous ground lost.

Nice lunch today with partner in the Cafe Restaurant attached to a Picture House cinema (Cine own them) Very tasty and I didn't think it was expensive either.

Last time I am going to mention this on here for I am confident in my own judgement. Believe that or not I really am not bothered one way or the other.

I have alluded several times on here recently to the fact I monitor one particular cinema as a barometer of the level of customer demand on films and it previously called things spot on with several films and in particular the success of Peter Rabbit 2's opening in the UK. (CINE RNS'd this)

On the new Bond film I flagged extremely strong pre-bookings on Day 1 when tickets went on sale. Day 2 also adding many more and with the cinema adding another showing to several showings already amidst high level demand.

I am now seeing numerous of those screenings Sold Out, Extremely high demand on the others (and most of those will go the same way imho). They have also now added yet another showing on several of the days.

What is even more striking is that there is already an extremely high level of bookings stretching through into the next week.

Still 11 days to go as well to opening and for the full marketing and promotional bandwagon to kick in proper and for things to intensify with, TV interviews, Chat show appearances, Further tv adverts, the Glitz and Glamour and worldwide media off the UK Worldwide Premiere, then word of mouth kicks in.

Also remember that AMC (Odeon's owner) have upped their prices and that CINE have also recently increased their pricings in the UK of the premium seatings (IMAX, ScreenX and 4DX) Hopefully Regal the same.

I think quite a few "walk in" customers who turn up on the night to try and book might find themselves disappointed. Dyor please.

Find yourself the 3 key legal points established in the Delaware Courts ruling of AB. Stable and you might understand how we appear to be doing in this court case. Canadian Courts generally pay high regard to Delaware Court rulings and normally cite them in their own courts. Realise also that this was the first aborted takeover judgement coinciding with the pandemic and in the main on those 3 legal points backed the Purchasers right to walk away from that takeover agreement. There is a fair way to go yet in establishing all the facts but bad faith intimations by the seller in respect of the purchaser are also looking thin imho.

Another week closer to The James Bond UK Premiere on the 28th Sept and its opening weekend in the UK on the 30th Sept.

If things go according to plan then this month should see positive working capital and cash flow positive and Bond should be the start of it all. It would imho also have gone cashflow positive on the opening weekends of F9, Black Widow and in all probability Shang Chi.

Also be aware that at the last analysts meeting Mooky was quite clear that Q4 film slate should see that transformation.

That was also before Disney handed an significant boost to film theatre revenues by deciding that all it's Q4 film slate till the year end would debut in movie theatres first for 45 days. No simultaneous day and date release on streaming.

You should also be aware that at that last analysts meeting Cineworld also indicated that it is awaiting further Tax Credit revenues.

Also you need to realise that money put in an escrow account for later settlement, as per what has happened, means that this money has been set aside and has been accounted for. Won't be touched if in escrow. If you don't know the reason behind that decision then no amount of speculating will change that.

I think the real surprise of the weekend is that nobody to any great degree has picked up on the fact that Fridays rise was backed by volume. Only one person did with their posted chart. The day started slow but built to 11M plus in volume and strengthened in the afternoon.

Potential reasons:
*Delayed reaction To Bond Pre-sale tickets going really well
*Delayed reaction to the court case being a lot stronger than initially suspected and imho going extremely well. (Mr Steep scored several home runs in his 2 days with the CEO and his next 20 minutes or so on AF I think will also prove useful.
* Delayed reaction to Disney's decision
* Realisation that the Q4 slate is just about to kick off (has started with better than expected Bond pre-sales)
* More positive reaction to the travel and leisure sector. (Probably another good day for them tomorrow given the significant increase in recent bookings cited over the weekend in response to the skies opening up)

It looks now that yesterdays price drop was nothing more than an attempt to put some liquidity into the shares. Managed a top up at around 1130p yesterday and as you know PW I make my own mind up on things and uninfluenced by others.

There are two private equity groups doing due diligence here but I still think that whatever gets offered by them PRSM is worth more to one of its main US competitors and it would not surprise me if they gazumpted matters.

As for CINE I'm holding firm on it. The court case I am watching daily like yourself and it is going really well and as it stands I think we will actually win it. The new James Bond film advance tickets are selling extremely well and that will only further intensify over the next 2 weeks. (Some will miss out on opening weekend) and the Q4 film slate is full of eyecatchers. Smacks of manipulation but its that which presents entry point and top up opportunity and it should catch its wind. If not it will plough ahead with it's US listing or be taken over. All imho.

Jamesy today was nothing to do with C19 and I'd hang my hat on volume generation today. Drop the price and flush out weak sellers and tempt in buyers. Get your 4 mill plus daily target. Airlines up today, in fact many stocks up, Gym Group static, Hollywood Bowl (Up about 2%) Both inside space sellers like us.

When the reason isn't clear and you are trying to find one - there probably isn't one.

Boosted our normal family grouping by 2 this time around by persuading parents to partake and why not. Imax booked.

Just one thing mountainous Covid isn't on the rise. At the present time things are plateauing and that's on Infections, deaths and hospitalisations. I do track it daily and that's after schools back since Sept 3

I'd just put it down to another day on Cine and when there is an accumulation of good things happen the market makers move it the other way. Its been going on since reopening and successively improving Box Office. Sometimes it just gets moved down for no reason and then everyone tries to attribute a reason. Then it moves back up on an obscure day for probably no reason at all. Today our main sector travel and leisure did very well and reclaimed most of yesterdays falls, but not Cineworld.

If suppression is the name of the game here I might look at our US peers for any reaction to Bond. Advance ticket sales from what I can see (Still with two weeks to go) are going better than I have ever seen since reopening. I track one local cinema and virtually all showings on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are close to capacity or sold out. The real advertising campaign for this film hasn't even started yet, here or the US!! The next week also starting to fill up nicely as well.

Going to book my own tickets now so I can at least get IMAX on the opening weekend.

It doesn't matter what anonymous's on the Cineplex bulletin board are chatting about mountainous, nor does it really matter what others on this bulletin board are talking about either.

If you familiarise yourself with the appropriate case law, agreement and notices and the key principles involved and then actually carefully watch proceedings for yourself, then objectively you can formulate your own view of how things are progressing.

That's what I've been doing from the start and imho, that's in my honest opinion, the Cineplex CFO did not stand up to the rigours of cross examination yesterday. Anybody objectively watching things saw that for themselves. More to come.

Furthermore in respect of deferring payments (and what is that specific debt) the pertinent question is whether this was a normal occurrence or an extraordinary event. If normal, then it could be argued it was "normal course" and within the terms of the Arrangement Agreement. If not then the converse would apply and it assists our case. You have to watch and make your own mind up.

Travel sector is now rebounding btw and very well. EZY up over 5% so recovering all of yesterdays fall. TUI the same.

Deferring payments IS EXACTLY the problem. It defers that further part of the debt and it still requires paying. May keep things under the $725M ceiling at the point of closing the deal but it means CINE would have debt over and above the covenant cap. Start totting these up.

Whats in here sits for Bond, Q4 and the outcome of the court case and on which in my own opinion I think we have a very good chance indeed.

I actually cannot see that they have a leg to stand on. Too early to be thinking of the value of the counterclaim but it must be a realistic contender after tonight.

Sadly popeye you cannot make any such assertion for you have no proof that it was a short position increasing and you omitted to mention the roughly 2.6M worth of large Buy trades that wwere mentioned by others going through live yesterday. That on your same assumptions would be a short closing or potentially an institution buying.

Shorts increased slightly before the court case which is their prerogative but we have already seen that after the opening remarks and the setting out of the Cineworld case that the sp already broke 65p. Just think what it will do if they win, draw or only have a marginal amount to pay.

Today seems to be yet another travel induced day of falls, albeit they seem to be recovering but it draws out the trolls out and other non-believers.
