RE: Ex-Div Tomorrow15 Jun 2022 12:05
Russia failed in trying to take Kyiv, then they regrouped and failed to take Cherniyiv with another embarrassing second withdrawal. Now they are at a stalemate in the Donbas. The only limited success they have had is Mariupol for a land corridor. Over 32,000 Russian soldiers have lost their life, over 50 of those generals and colonels. Over double that again maimed or injured and more military hardware decimated than would make all the scrap metal dealers in the salivate more than Pavlov's dogs. That is just to date and that is how it will remain until Mr Putin belatedly realises this is going no further and decides to negotiate a settlement. More advanced Nato weaponry is arriving and further set to arrive and if what I read the other day is correct, he is running out of missiles as the component parts required to make new ones are sanctioned. More chance as time goes on of Ukraine retaking many parts of its own lands. And just to add Sweden and Finland now joining Nato (and Kosovo and Bosnia won't be far behind) I would not term as a victory.
