Simply incredible fall for a share that margin wise will no doubt benefit from an increasing interest rate environment.

Would love to know the reason behind todays fall as there isn't much volume. Suspect it was market making algorithms accentuated by short sellers across the back.

Some astonishing bargains being offered up in quite a few shares today.

If you want another comparitor today then take a look at Halfords the retailer. Down 27.7% off a trading update which if you actually read it, i think reads not that bad (and not 27% bad) with the business transitioning well to automotive services to mitigate any headwinds elsewhere. Acquisitions, Cash on the balance sheet and 6p Final Dividend also announced.

Well I watched Hammerson (HMSO) Shopping Centre Operator down over 14% today at one point on zero company negative news and comfortably under 20p at one point today and astonishingly similar to here at a share price last seen in the depths of pandemic and with only essential shops open. Like here it has shorts across the back of it. Recovered unsurprisingly to 8% down

Most of any supposed bear market in that share, here and in many today was caused by market making algorithms tipping the share prices and imho shorters joining in to over exaggerate the falls. You probably find some have reduced or closed. Maybe the hidden ones under 0.5%.

I've noted plenty of comments in MM and his golden share, which he has agreed to give up to try and get a premium listing.

I can see that you have your sights on Matt Mouldings relation Heres Hopin but if you are going to contact the FCA then perhaps what should be mentioned is this bit in this mornings RNS.

"After consulting with THG's major shareholders and taking advice from the Company's advisors, the Board has not considered it appropriate to provide due diligence access to any of these parties."

Somebody has used that conversation to either short sell the share or lend out their shares for that very purpose and 12 days falls on the trot says that.

When the share price started falling Moulding should have made the full market aware of the Boards intent rather than wait 11 days.

I am late to the party and accumulating in tranches and if someone was prepared to offer 170p and Candy also made 2 funded bids (probably higher) then I like the differential in between.

Was 116p prior to any bid announcement and I always refer back to the last trading update before deciding to buy in.

Hopefully get the chance for a few more over the next few days.

Anything in 19's is normally a good top up.

Markets have lost their marbles today and bargains being presented everywhere.

Same company and as good as its last trading update underneath the blanking of some opportunistic offers.

Prior to the RNS on the 19th May informing the market of the 170p offer.

I can quite happily wait for it to work its way back up to there and beyond.

Or for another bid to pop up.

Was trickled down this morning on very little volume so probably the MM's getting their risk frees. Thought it might be nervousness ahead of the BoE Interest rate decision, but with only a 0.25% rise, it was at the bottom end of what was being touted.

Happy to hold for sunnier times.

It'll get back to that level in due course with now 3 weeks having passed since the half term debacle and HMG and Grant Shapps under pressure to expedite things for the summer.

Recent placing was at £2.20 if I remember correctly.

The £1.70 bid I do believe was serious and the 2 bids referred to from Nick Candy would at a guess be somewhere higher and probably between £1.70 and £2.00 at a guess.

Wasn't it MM that stated that £2.50 would be the point that they would consider bids.

The fiduciary duty of the Directors and their obligations to all shareholders says it wasn't in self interest but rather it that those bids did not get near the 250p point at which the BoD would unlock the key to due diligence.

Near 10% fall on no company negative news is presenting an opportunity.

I think what Moulding needs to do is season up and stop acting like a naive green racehorse on a race track. Should have considered the bod in the first place and facilitated the due diligence and that way maybe more would have emerged. The one thing he should not have done with hindsight is canvass shareholders and specifically is he stated that they were of a mind to decline and not provide access for due diligence. Red rag to a bull that information in certain hands and 12 days of falls in the bank for somebody. The full trades over the last 12 days should be looked at but I bet it'll be another just swept under the carpet.

On the bright side some you would expect will have to buy back to close their positions.

The Board aslo buying shares would also assist with a recovery, especially if thinking £1.70 undervalued the company and being presented with an opportunity at less than half that price.

What price was the share price at just prior to the bid emerging?

Sit back and wait for a Nick Candy and other Institutional holdings RNS's.

If they were supportive of declining and not facilitating due diligence of a £1.70 offer then you would expect them to be supportive of a half that price share price.

Timing is everything.

Whats the betting now he has timed his RNS as he has, that he has been accumulating through and the next one is an increased holding off Candy.

I don't think you can blame him if THG wasn't allowing any potential offerers access to enable them to do due diligence.

Nothing though stopping him averaging down in the half price sale to get the £500K down that he is already looking at.

If somebody was happy to table £1.70 there is a massive gap being presented and you don't need a specsavers prescription to see it.

Even that the company say is undervaluing the company.

How much did Nick Candy pay for his and might he not be tempted to start adding further.

Its an easy in today for those that were making the offers.

Still less than half the 170p that somebody was prepared to pay. Love it.
