£4 looks very far fetched...but potentially this could go there and beyond. Simply because of the crisis we face in China and beyond. What more proof do they need, give the front line medics the one and only credible tool available in the world right now, NCYT product ready to go!!

PHE/NHS, EUA and rest of the world should now put their weight behind this product - it’s now the one and only credible product in the market place right now...ready for use.

Coronavirus test kits need to be fixed

Coronavirus test kits shipped from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to labs across the country and around the world last week have had problems detecting the virus, the CDC said Wednesday.

During a briefing with journalists, the CDC’s Dr. Nancy Messonnier said some labs were getting “inconclusive” results from the test. As such, the test will need to be fixed.

The problem was found during initial routine run-throughs with the test to make sure it was working correctly before using it to diagnose COVID-19, as the illness is now called, in actual patients.

The issue with the diagnostic test has not been reported in all states. The Illinois Department of Public Health said Wednesday it had not experienced trouble with its test kits, and is able to move forward with testing for the coronavirus. It’s unclear how many of the test kits shipped were flawed.

All samples will also be tested at the CDC’s headquarters in Atlanta to confirm the results.

...they also emphasised the small ‘time window’ of opportunity, solidarity and working in Unison..yes including regulators to tackle this virus head on. The front line medics need the faster and accurate diagnostic test kits to fight this..medics in China have this as their no 1 request! Very frustrating when there is a product ready to be deployed but can’t..

FDA need to smell the coffee...and start working overtime. Why they not rapid responding?

Yes but it’s better than nothing isn’t it. Also, have you considered UK hospitals have already bought some of these without approvals, so they must confidence from its pilot or company demonstrations. NVCT are experts in this field, so it’s highly unlikely their going to be selling the world dumb products! Also note this is for ‘emergency use’ approval only so there is scope to cancel it’s approval if new findings come to light..
