I think the most encouraging thing ... and FG said it ... is that they have been testing against their original speed increase and methodology and they have found it repeatable ... ergo it works. If they had tested and it didn't that would have flagged an immediate fail . Now they just need to push through sufficient volume of testing to indepently confirm the speed increase. That release could be close . GLA LTH
Good morning all
Anyone upto speed on what's likely to be in the Condemsate column?. Vitron will survive in heat and cold and is resistant against most Hydocarbons. It will struggle with ketones. So i guess the pertinent question is does Gas field condensate contain Ketones ? If it doesn't then most likely Vitron seals will work

I think there are a few others lurking in the back ground :)
I hope we have here a lull before the storm ... Is RW trying to tie the early Feb India visit in with the annoucement .
I could see he would want to be on site to check results in situ and coincidentally there is, I believe, an Indian located gathering of the Oil/Gas industry Great and Good
So maybe we are stareed of news until then ? at least the share price is moving up :)
Very Good News .... getting involved in producing an "industry standard" cell set by the Car Manufacturers is a smart way to get adoption of the solid state technology. Even better in some repsects to being allied to just one Manufacturer.
As J47 noted .. that one of the Manufacturers is BMW is a major major plus .
GLA
They had a debt repayment due on 23 /1 Burwell would have funded the repayment I guess
Well that's good news bringing to an end a fundamentally flawed strategy of Minerals Exploration around the world combined with trying to make money from Energy pricing arbitrage in the UK .. duh!!!
Now everyone can concentrate on where the real value lies. And surely that is in one of the Mining prospects. I got in a long time ago because of the Nickel Cobalt play in Papua New Guinea . That progressing will be transformative :)
Indeed so Moss.....but i was rather hoping one of the Mining Gurus would have worked out their AISC and based on a realitic output so we could have a proper idea. The grades are comprable with other players who seem to do Ok
GLA
The share price has been thumped. I am intrigued though asto what the mine is worth. Unlike a lot of other AIM gold plays this one is actually getting gold out of the ground. All be it irratically. Surely that then is financeable. Or is their cost of production just too high to be profitable? Any one got a more knowledgeable view on the inherent value?
At one level a Market Cap of now only 4M and change seems too low. What am I missing?
Apart from people being genuinely and rightly pee'd off about a CEO making overly confident and misleading statements and a dogs dinner of the financing. Is that masking some the inherent value of the asset.
Thinking of having a gamble
GLA
So speculation on the licence started before the market opened . They have had 5 hours to issue an RNS which is more than long enough. Maybe the lack of price extentions is mitigating as that keeps the authorities away but I still think this could be a bit of manipulation to churn shares held by the bottom fishers
Simon Grant-Rennick
Here is a link to his Linked in profile. I would agree his CV is ...well how shall we say ... that of an "opportunist" . Can't say he blows me away on paper

now 12% just as likely a good old fashioned pump and dump ...let's be careful out there
I thought todays update was solid. 18M cash on hand so no real raise concerns. Good progress on commercialisation of the minature Stearex batteries. 21 live customer leads so surely some will come home.
For me though its the 80% increase in energy density on the Goliath Batteries. Let's face it electric cars are pups in the real world . No range No charging stations and a painful waiting time if yiu can find a charger thats working. The big advantage of Solids over Lithium is they hold more charge and are much quicker to charge. The advantage seems to have been extended by the comment in the 1/2 yr report. Maybe Illika really do have a technology edge that car manufacturers will be screaming for . We can but hope from both a personal and planet level
Yesterdays tie up with the American manufacturer and distributor of Micro Medical devices made sense to me. Faster cheaper manufacturing and access to the sales distribution network of a specialist seeking vertically integrate,
I would also concur with other posters that it will definitely speed entry to the market cf doing the production in the UK ( with or without Government hindrance)
What then for Goliath?. Aside from the basic chemistry inside the solid sate battery they seem poles apart from Medical devices. To my mind splitting the company in 2 is logical . The way to get Goliath "motoring" is to get vvv close to a car maunfacturer. Thinking you can develop in isolation and a car manufacturer will take the product is wishful and doesnt reflect how the big manufacturers produce. Splitting off Goliath for a piece of inward investment by a Car Group with a view to potential take out could offer the best route for share holders to gain value . Just a thouht

What's the source of your Namibia update ? Is it new news ? I cant find it in the historic RNS 's
GLA
Mike ... I think we all hope for something transformative. They have been radio silent on on Mabare , Wowo Gap and Dempster for an inordinate amount of time so fingers crossed Scott will leap out from stage right with the proverbial rabbit out of the Rare Earth Hat.
I had all but given up on the management team after the debarcles with the UK peakers but the Mt Weld deal (although a speculative side show) they did manage to do the deal and in some haste so I sleep by giving them the benfit of the doubt amd imagine mining in Papua New Guinea
CEO dipped in for another parcel of shares . This time at the partially recovered share price. To my mind he is clearly signalling the current price is still way too low
Why he is being so active in doing so is an interesting point. He holds 10% plus of the company so yes he benefits if the price rises. But thats only on paper . If he sold shares the price would plummet
I am still minded to think he wants the price up to discourage or maximise the price of a take out ..
That's my conspiracy theorey of the day . Either way from the current share price there is value . Basically its a competively advantaged cash generative business
DYOR GLA
Indeed good to see the CEO take another block of shares . This is undervalued because of the IP. I guess ones' view on the desirability of a potential take over depends on your entry point and timing aspirations But it really does have all the usual elements that will attract the Private Equity Houses. I would be amazed if someone wasn't running the slide rule over it after the recent annoucement and hit to the share price.
It's also a classic for retaining the existing management when taken over just rolling some of their share crystallisation and putting them on an earn out .
What strengthens managements hand in such scenarios ? Having as big a position as possible . :)
Also if the management wanted to take the company private again I would be personally state building ahead of that play. That's probs a bigger concern as Management will look to get it on the cheap
In any event any corporate activity in the next few months will generate value off todays share price
GLA
Indeed . The CEO buying is a clear signal that the price drop yesterday was massively overdone.
I still think the business is a classic PE play . Share price down on a shock . A cost savings based short term recovery to the bottom line. Sales up as stock sell through . A differentiated patent protected offering that is proven cash generative .
Plus high management who own a lot already and could be taken out cheap now but with a lucrative carry position
Not sure about the Swiss Domicile and how thar would impact such a scenario. Never had any dealings there . Anyone know if take private deals in Switzerland are difficult to pull off ?
I have have had a look at this stock a few time over the past 24 months . It surfaced at the time of the First round of Covid Hype stocks. i would have probably brought in but it wasn't on the Fidelity platform. It is now. ( A lucky break )
Looks to me that todays crash price drop is over done. I give some credibility to the notion that supply chains have been disrupted. It's not a company that has had to address a major hiccup before . Thats a good thing providing the management have the hutspur to address the cost base. They have said they will so I take that as face value as it easily called to account. The fundamental proposition of differentaited products with good Enviromental credentials and the prior record of cash generation mean I think the business will be turned back into profit in reasonable short order
We also have management with 20% Plus ownership. Something I always look for.
All that taken into account a 50% fall on the day looks overplayed and todays price is a gift of an entry point.
The noise about Covid and the return of masks etc also plays into the companies portfolio of products. I wouldn't be surprised if some VC's are not all over this at the moment. Its ripe for a quick flip .
A medium term hold here and one would hope for a decent return from where the price is today. Hopefully that will put the currently ( and rightly ) irritated LTHs back in the money .
GLA DYOR
Given the debarcles on the UK peaker projects I agree it is good news that the BOD finally managed to pull off a deal and with some haste. Its a nice to have as far far as i see it .
The real money here and it's why most of the LTH's invested lies in the Papua Battery Mineral Assets coming into production. That's the only way to "dig" the share price out of its 80% plus fall in the past year .
Hopefully having shown some signs life iwe can read across that they are still active on the PNG front . I had feared they had given up
