In his speech, Taur Matan Ruak took stock of the “most recent reforms observed in the social, economic and institutional sectors”, in terms of the reform of public finance management, in the domain of the economy, in the area of ??health and education, in terms of regarding the strengthening of local power and territorial cohesion, within the scope of territorial planning and planning, in the field of social inclusion, in the agriculture and fisheries sector, the approval of land cadastral information and in the area of ??planning, monitoring and continuous evaluation.
The Prime Minister defended that “it is very evident and has been widely emphasized, the tireless work carried out by the Government throughout its mandate, that the abundant legislative production approved, aimed at implementing the Plan Development Strategy in its various dimensions is an example, with the objective of leaving the country in a more comfortable socio-economic position than the one it found, of actively fighting poverty and social inequality, of promoting the development of conditions more favorable to the attraction of knowledge, investment and economic diversification, to strengthen and modernize State institutions, while, at the same time, to deal with particularly adverse environmental and pandemic conditions and, more recently this year, with global political instability and chain constraints of worldwide distribution associated with it”.
