If the fundamentals of NMC were wrong then surely the CEO and the CFO would also have gone today? The Head of Equities at Rasmala had confidence in the fundamentals.

I seriously cannot see this happening. You had a Director resign, an awful downgrade from Moodys and then possibly the most convoluted RNS the LSE ever saw and it did not absolutely tank 30-40% as it has before.

Takeover rumours/egos of billionaires at play here. This is their baby.

No arguing the governance has been poor, but the fundamentals looks good.

How on earth can you prove someone is not shorting?? So by your measure he has to takeover the group or be a shorter? Nothing in-between can be true - such as a significant shareholder who believes in the company, understands the sector, takes advantage of a low share price and is happy to sit on his investment...

True Mrd but even major shorted shares can recover - take a look at Tesla. Happy to wait a couple of months at these prices. Once the Coronavirus drama subsides and we have Peru, new CEO, asset sales, people will be wishing they bought at 50 just like those wishing they had bought Tesla at $185 in June.

Those that are claiming he is loaning his shares to shorters - please provide some evidence. I've been reading these suggestions with humour.

The cost-cutting is very positive news and great that it has started even before the appointment of a new CEO.

I know the nuance/sentiment of our announcements have lacked the vigour of ECO, but just think of the reception we will receive following something positive from Dorothy - opposite of the Boy Who Cried Wolf syndrome!
