For what we have today, £25m is a bit rich… Be objective, I know you’re invested and I genuinely wish this makes you a huge return but if you assess what we actively have, the markets have given us the benefit of the doubt. Every investor thinks their share is worth 10X the current market cap and hence why we invest, but a dose of realism and balance is not a bad thing.
Genuinely wishing you health and financial success.
I’m out. The podcasts and RNS have always felt ‘rampy’… I understand PR/communications but this does cross a line. The success is priced in and you know you’re on shaky ground when we are paying attention to when PJ grins when making a statement - this whole inference, body language, superfluous RNS’s has made me nervous. I’ve made a good 40% having bought in several months ago, was going to hold out for me but I’ve hit my risk threshold. Everyone is different. Wish you all well and the best success with this and other investments. GLA and Merry Xmas!
All is not lost - at all. Communication has been dire but it seems the Board have perhaps been confident all along!
GLA. Our patience has been tested, hope we are all rewarded early next year.
At IPO, it’s looking to raise $10m-15m at a pre-money valuation of about $80m-85m.
Wonder what that makes our stake worth after dilution…?
The problem they have is that a relisting is a big IF and even if they make it to complete the RTO of Bolt, most of us will be out by 8:01am not matter what the opening share price is because of how truly awful the lack of communication and engagement has been.
I’m also a holder of POW (Power Metal Resources), now they do over-communicate which loses some of the efficacy of an RNS but I’ve never ever seen anything as awful and arrogant as this on my 16 years of investing.
Sadly this was 50% of my portfolio. It’s the first time I’ve ever scaled into a stock so heavily… lesson learnt!
The BOD in my view have handled this so so badly. None of us still understand what Bolt is, the investment case for it and even how it makes money. What is its USP? What is the addressable market? How do they commercialise and make money? What is the strategy for expansion? I mean is it a crypto play or not? They did once say they were inspired by the IPO of Coinbase. Given the crypto market has fallen off a cliff, is this dead in the water? I’ve gained absolutely nothing from the YouTube videos of the two founders and seeing the returns on companies house has me feeling even more depressed.
They are statutory accounts so reveal very little but the complete silence coupled with zero available financial information for an organisation that looks little more than a fancy website and an unproven concept leaves a lot to be desired.
There are plenty of dud companies on AIM but at least they speak up and engage with shareholders. The way GCG has dealt with shareholders has been beyond contempt. I’m genuinely hoping they are so laid back because they have something up their sleeves but so far I (and other shareholders) has bugger all to go on.
GCG: Update us, give us some solid info on your proposed acquisition and a timeline.
Well at least there is a bit more detail this time… Wish they would share more on the numbers.
Can someone tell the Board:
1. You can include numbers in an RNS especially if it’s a quarterly update. It’s totally permissible and things like revenue, PBT, EBITDA, margins etc are fine to include. If it’s too difficult then find another listed company, find their latest trading update and erase their numbers and add yours.
2. When you clowns omit any numbers then the market assumes the worst because if your numbers are good, you will want to shout about them from the rooftops.
Great RNS and shows how undervalued the business is. Reoccurring revenue division will only accelerate the market cap growth.
… and yet a part of me wants this to go into administration so that the Board have this on their CVs/record for the future. That’s how awful they’ve been and how much they are utterly despised by shareholders.
More months to wait for a prospectus… I don’t know why people were posting end of September! End of 2023 is more likely ?????
The communication has been absolutely dire. I understand the market isn’t on our side, but for goodness sake Board communicate with your shareholders. It has been nearly a year and there is still no timeline, no prospectus, no valuation, no numbers (even unaudited). This is really, really poor. For investors like me they’ve got to now do something pretty remarkable otherwise I’m afraid I’m minded to exit at the first opportunity.
Way better than I was expecting too… may add at these levels.
Think he read your post ;-)
Assuming this is related to the issue of new shares we saw in a recent RNS? If so, does that mean technically from a chart perspective we’ve had a bounce from lows of 60…?
Ooooh. Hopefully it’s days and not weeks before we see a prospectus.
I disagree about us not making anything on listing - it will all depend of level of dilution and IPO price. None of us know but Peel and the original investors didn’t pump cash in to be massively down on relisting.
GLA.
What are they buying - a country?! FFS.
