Jane, I don't think there's any danger of iii selling Action in the short to medium term, it's simply too big a part of the portfolio (over 50% now). The float option is more feasible, so that shareholders end up owning iii and a proportion of Action. Can't see that happening in the short term either though because the prospects for Action are surely as good now as they've ever been, so why not hold and continue to fund expansion? Just my opinion of course.

Thanks saintly, yes I'm holding on here. It's like many of my other investments currently, inexplicably down way below the NAV. I'm hoping the current wave of optimism regarding interest rates will continue and hopefully things will settle down a bit. In the mean time, my dividends seem to be holding up quite well so I'm not too concerned about the capital decline, I've been here before & it's always temporary.

Pretty strong bounce from 60p on the bid this morning, too early to call the start of a recovery here but early signs at least.

Yet again these dumps are unfathomable. Half-year results coming but the dividend has already been declared in line with the target so can't be anything to do with that. I clearly don't know what I'm doing (no change there...) because I'm adding whilst all around are exiting. GLA

They've just secured $60m for the California Project, at the current SP I don't think they could place shares to raise funds even if they wanted to.

Re dividend coverage, see StarBright's post of 19 Oct on the subject. I'm more positive on this than Shore Capital, although clearly they're paid to provide in-depth analysis of the company & I'm not.

I'm expecting the accounts to be published after c.o.p. this evening with the suspension lifted at 8.00am Monday. Let's see.

Completely agree LegendB, I think the likes of BP or Shell could improve their ESG credibility by adding GSF to their portfolios. At this level they could almost do the deal through petty cash. Be a shame though, even for a big premium, because this could be a significant dividend payer for decades to come.

I agree broomtree, make the most of the opportunity whilst it lasts I say. That's certainly what I've been doing, and will continue to do as we head towards 8p p.a. dividend.

No real surprises in this morning's RNS's, slow progress towards targets on debt reduction & corporate alignment, dividend unchanged. Still selling older vessels to improve the overall fleet profile. Charter rates gradually improving, as expected. No mention of dividend cover this time, must be getting quite tight now given the lower charter rates, even after the more recent improvement. Anyway, pretty much bau as far as I can see, and market unmoved by it too. So, all good really, onwards & upwards from here!

Yep that's true, still difficult to fathom though isn't it? I currently hold HHI as well as HDIV so when HDIV converts I'll have too much in HHI so I've sold some down before the conversion. Maybe others are in the same boat?

I've been watching this & wondering the same Gavster. HDIV is rising whilst HHI falls, I'm just wondering if some are selling HHI to buy HDIV in the hope of one final "here's all we've got" divi there before conversion? Here's what it says in the conversion announcement on HDIV: "It is expected that the Company will pay a pre-liquidation interim dividend of current year net revenue to the extent that it exceeds current year distributions to all shareholders, including those who elect for the Cash Option." Just a thought.
