Hi RMM - thanks very much for your considered and balanced thoughts. The grant application is surely a done job and will be rubber stamped very quickly. No official is going to want to refuse an application which is subsequently found to be the silver bullet.
As has been said previously it’s just a question of which big pharma wants the asset and for how much. Very exciting times!!

Does anyone have any knowledge on how the grant funding will be applied? Is this just a mechanism for raising Sareum's profile in the C19 arena or do we need to do furrther work before we can say that we have a product that has potential efficacy in the treatment of C19 disease.
Looking at some of the other reseach currently being progressed the breakneck speed is astonishing and it will be interesting to see how long it takes the grant approvers to do there bit.....presumably days or weeks. Surely rather than piddling about with grants, big pharma will just snap this up!

What impact would you see the potential Covid angle having on existing/current negotiations regarding 1801?
If for the sake of argument we are talking to potential partners re lupus and are close to finalising a deal, then Covid pops up out of the blue as a potentillay massive market, this would surely strengthen our negotiating position. Also the urgency of the need and the simplification/speeding up of approval processes must play to our advantage?

Importantly this sends a clear message to existing interested parties that we’re not hanging around waiting for license deals!
