Sierra Oncology brings on former Aimmune CEO to the helm;
? Momelotinib-focused Sierra Oncology, which launched a Phase III trial in November for myelofibrosis patients, has made Stephen Dilly its president and CEO, effective June 1. Dilly was previously the CEO at Aimmune from 2014 until what was billed as his retirement in 2018, but now he’s back at the helm of another company and is also a member of Sierra’s board of directors. Additionally, the seasoned vet has held posts at Genentech, Chiron and GSK.

So assuming we get a grant and secure a partnership agreement to further progress SDC1801 in the Covid space how would that work? Would be partnering organisation simply be involved in development phase or would an agreement set out the arrangements for a licence, assuming the development is successful. Ie is the partner likely to be the ultimate licensee? If this is the case the drafting and conclusion of the agreements could take some time?

Where would we stand in terms of licensing if as seems likely, 1801 is efficacious in multiple applications eg Covid pneumonia/sepsis + lupus + IBD + psoriasis?

Hi Labman, don’t know, word limit perhaps? Also one would think Tim would want to highlight the recent success with FLT3 as opposed to the stagnating SRA737 situation.

Note also reference to SDC1801 as being ‘lead product in development’, also no reference to Aurora FLT3.

Hi Utah - "They need to be bullish especially at present. Pharma are far less secretive than they were a few years ago and are happier about releasing information about pipelines what drugs are in which phase. Investors require that information more than presentations about financial results"

Hi Potnak, I think Tim also said that if the news was outstandingly good that we would have to be told. Make of that what you will.

Having reviewed the various trials registers below I can't see any reference to Sareum or SDC-1801. I guess this doesn't necessarily mean that an application isn't being progressed but if the Covid train has left the station we could well be left on the platform. So coming back to Sareum's PR, why would you raise expectations by tweeting to then drift back to the norm of sod all communications.
