Not sure if this has been posted previously.
The files below detail to reasons for the patent appeal rejection. Important to note that it refers to the 'non-final' rejection which to layman suggests that there is still scope for further argument.
I guess the question now is whether JR concedes that he is flogging a dead horse or whether there is merit/value in continuing to argue with the examiner.
Question - would a potential licencing arrangemet hinge on this issue and thereby prevent/delay a licence agreement or would big pharma carry the risk and proceed as is?
Question - is it reasonable to now expect an update from Sareum given that the fact that JR has seen fit to persue the case suggests that it is of material importance with potential impact on SP?

Research grant application/s in respect SDC1801 would presumably be supported by reference to the SRI data. Given that these data are not yet in the public domain it could be problematic and this may be the resaon for delays in submission of the application. Equally it could be that we won't actually be applying for grants but rather depending on a partner organisation to fund the research. If this is the case the delays are more likely to do with negotiating the partnership agreement or better still licencing deal/s.

Thoth - what’s your current thinking re timescales for 1801 immunotherapy and 1802 cancer.

CFP - yes, agreed re deferral which was a very positive move. It would also be incredibly helpful if the bod listened to the pleads for more effective PR/comms.

Hi CFP - I trust all’s well. It’s surely unthinkable that no cash will come in to the business before the next AGM! Someone suggested an EGM in September which I trust won’t be necessary.

Interesting change in terms of targeted completion date for TYK2 pre-clinical.
The current RNS states 'Sareum is advancing internal programmes focused on distinct dual tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) / Janus kinase 1 (JAK1) inhibitors through preclinical development as therapies for autoimmune diseases, including the "cytokine storm" immune system overreaction to Covid-19 and other viral infections, (SDC-1801) and cancer immunotherapy (SDC-1802). The Company is targeting completion of preclinical development FOR EACH MOLECULE in 2020.
The 3rd June RNS stated 'These new funds will be used to advance their preclinical studies targeting completion IN AT LEAST ONE INDICATION late this year, pending successful progress.
This does sound more confident and could be taken to suggest that we are further advanced than previously thought? Equally it could just be sloppy drafting of the RNS.

Update on Deferred Salaries and Issue of Equity

Sareum Holdings plc (AIM: SAR), the specialist drug development company delivering targeted small molecule therapeutics to improve the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases, provides an update on the Salary Deferral Scheme, as defined below, and announces the settlement of directors' deferred salary through the issue of new ordinary shares of 0.025p each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares").

Salary Deferral Scheme

As announced on 17 December 2019, the Company confirmed that all directors had entered into a salary deferral scheme, whereby 33% of directors' salaries were being deferred until further notice (the "Salary Deferral Scheme").

The Company has agreed to issue, in aggregate, 13,680,485 new Ordinary Shares (the "Deferred Salary Shares") to the directors at a price of 0.6p, being equal to the recent placing pricing, in satisfaction of the deferred salaries, after deducting all applicable taxes which will be settled by the Company, that have accrued under the Salary Deferral Scheme to 30 June 2020. The issue of the Deferred Salary Shares has a positive effect of reducing the Company's accrued liabilities by an aggregate amount of GBP124,152 (including the cash settlement of applicable taxes).

Just been looking at the 737 trials info which was last updated in January. Not sure if/what it tells us but it seems someone has taken some time to update the info.

Sareum’s involvement with Sierra has clearly been an unmitigated bloody disaster!!
Absolutely astonishing that we seem to have absolutely no clout whatsoever! Tim and John have spent years and years developing SRA737 are they just going to walk away without so much as a whimper! It really is time for Stephen Parker to prove his mettle!!
