Surely the important point is that the document is a NON-FINAL rejection which implies that there is scope for further argument. No doubt the patent lawyers are on to it.

Elcap - I agree enirely with you and BasilAlderman's comments yesterday. This isn't about ramping it's about basic comms/PR to keep investors properly informed.

Brighty - The other question that we collectively need to answer is if the August Trading Statement just gives us more of the same do we then progress without delay to an EGM. There will no doubt be a teleconference following the Trading Statment when we may or may not get a better sense of what's happening, but this would not be the place to really challenge the BoD. My view is that we need something concrete to provide assurance that we will see return on our investment. An effective and professional communications strategy would go a long way to allay the current frustrations.

Labman - the March 2020 half-year report noted:
SDC-1801 has demonstrated excellent tolerability in toxicology studies in rodents and is undergoing studies to complete the dose-finding and longer-term toxicology studies, which would form part of the regulatory documentation needed to apply to begin human trials.
In the follow-up conference call TM stated that they haven't yet reached the MTD and indicated that "this was a nice problem to have'...
Fadec/Thoth - could the drug be trialed without having previously established the MTD?

RMM - So the key question would seem to be how long will it take to establish the MTD?

Dilly will have to pull something out of the bag soon....

Everything will no doubt become much clearer when the trading statement is issued in August/September.

Hi RMM - many thanks as always for a very balanced view. Do you not think that the potential for 1801 in Covid, whether or not it is eventually actually applied to Covid, will significantly increase the speed of a potential licensing deal. So we could get a deal WELL in advance of the AGM particularly if we believe what we have been told about ongoing discussions with big pharma.
