Every $1000 increase in BTC price = $13 mil.+ increase in value of mara hodl., excluding additional BTC mined since last update....

Mara october numbers pretty impressive. 1202 BTC, cash & equivalents increased by 150 $ mil from Sept., now at 620 $ mil.

I dumped all of my ARB when the sh*t hit the fan last year. Last week, I bought a few k shares of mara. Two things that I am curious about >(have only checked the miners from time to time since last year): Is immersion cooling now the industry standard? Or was all the hype (over-clocking, etc.) just smoke & mirrors? Also - what is the current sentiment wrt "ESG" ("clean mining", 100% renewable energy, and all that). It seems to have fallen by the wayside; Do investors these days even care about ESG any more?

indeed. also, many people forget that the Chinese were a significant factor when the last bull-run took off. That will doubtfully be the case the next time around. The sh*tcoin fiascos and the collapse of many corrupt crypto companies bit me; I will definitely be twice-shy in the future.

well, it is a sure thing that this spike is not related to the company>'s fundamentals. either there are some large shorts that a attempting to close their positions, or maybe galaxy is taking a large position on the open market, although if they wait long enough, they can get all of the assets for almost nothing. probably something else entirely, but fair play to all who have gambled here, and won.

if the story about the "bankruptcy" mishap turns out to be true, this is actually par for the course. the unauthorized "twitter" interview last year that disclosed material information and forced the company to issue an RNS, comes to mind. also countless fauxpas's: using the wrong currency in press releases, the pw theatrics with regards to the nasdaq listing, ".02 cent power" (don't get me started), just to name a few. senior management exposed as amateurs.
