I didn't hear 2024 for returns to start, All I heard was the near future and they will be a combination of both buy backs and Dividends. They all also looking to attract a new shareholder base before returns begin.

In 2020 I spoke with IR regarding our BE cost (In layman's terms the point where we start making FCF after all cost including interest payments and lease costs, they wouldn't give me the actual figure but I can tell you it was below $60, I said $60 barrel and I asked if it was above or below that figure - They said below ! Thats all they would give away. we had higher debt back then but lower interest rates than we have now.

Chilting It’s not turned it back on the North Sea. It wants to reap the rewards from the North Sea, the more oil and Gas production the higher the Tax income. It’s a massive part of the governments budget they can’t afford to lose.
They need to keep the producers producing and the only way to do that is find a happy medium for all.
