The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with London Stock Exchange Group's Chris Mayo has just been released. Listen here.
I've been following Easyjet for a while and the update reads fantastic. They (The Board) obviously don't see a risk to world travel nor do they see a slow down in world economies.
This is a no brainer for me specially at current Share prices
I've couldn't sit on the fence any longer and bought in this morning.
I'll sit and wait this out for the next few years when I hope to sell above a tenner a share and I'll let them pay me a nice dividend while I wait.
Lovely Jubbly
Amjad saved this company from going bust in years past, How can you blame him for this governments Tax robbery ?
He's far more upset over it than you are. His hard work and dedication got us almost to the point where we would have had our 60p party.
Stevo So why do you hold any equity then, if I felt the same way I wouldn’t hold any. You are basically saying we are worthless and you don’t see any up lift whatsoever in the next 2-3 years.
I don’t get it !
My advice to you would be sell and invest in a stock or bond that you believe will bring you a profit until the government change the EPL if they ever do
Stevo,
Do you actually hold any equity ? I think not, I also think you enjoy posting as much negativity as you can possible rustle up. Not that I really care to be honest as we have had many do the same over the years. Its not like we are sitting on $1.8b worth of debt along with low oil prices.
AB steered us through that and I'm sure he will do the same this time.
Good Accountants are great at making things look very rosy or not so rosy depending on who's benefiting
So we should have cleared the ÂŁ111.3m owing on the 7% retail bond yesterday was due on the 15th. Thought we might have had a RNS stating that the stub had been cleared, We also have the 2022 EPL charge to clear this month ($75m)
Stevo - You always highlight the negatives with EnQuest. I don’t think you have any equity whatsoever.
Our BE cost are around 58 bucks and that includes all debt costs etc.
Enquest have always run a tight ship and have outperformed both PMO (Harbour) and Tullow pound for pound every year for the past 5 years and we had much higher debt back then and lower oil prices as well
I think Stevo wants cheap shares but hasn’t bought in yet. MRC did exactly the same a few years back if you remember. Talked the stock down then suddenly changed his tune once filled his boots
This is putting the British public at risk and that's not right.
This is extremely worrying, if we end up at war with zero oil and Gas then what ?
Blackouts and extremely high heating bills is what we have to look forward to.
I will probably be ok in a freezing cold house in darkness but most of our aging population won't be.
If this is the direction Labour and the Tories want us to go then I might think about buggering off to another country, China or Russia look more likely to look after their citizens than we do
