Voice I don't believe it did as they could only purchase a percentage of the daily volume over a set number of days so really the amount purchased didn't affect the way the SP was heading. You could say it helped the sellers sell.

Aim a $15m buyback programme was announced on the day of the AGM last year it should have completed during 2024 but it failed with just over half of the $15m being used up. So what happened to the remaining amount ? We assume it was set aside for the dividend paid out this year but we haven't been told if this was a dividend for 2024 or 2025. bit sneaky if you ask me because they can now say shareholders received returns in 2024 and 2025. I did ask about returns for this year at the AGM but they swerved answering that. So in my view they are going to see how the year pans outs before committing to any returns for 2025

But the company handed out half of those shares to the employees trust so really the amount of cancelled shares was tiny so was another kick in the teeth to us shareholders

Aim buybacks dont work with the current low daily volumes as proven last year and the small gesture of a $15m dividend didn't work either as that's a smaller return percentage wise than our peers pay out so still no attraction for investors to add us to their portfolio's. We either need a deal to use up the more of the TAX credits or a change in EPL to make a larger FCF profit and pay a larger dividend each year than the one before its the only way we will return shareholder value.

What divided? There hasn’t been any shareholder returns announced for 2025

It wouldn’t surprise me if we don’t receive anything this year.

So when are we going to actually see some value return here, we’ve been waiting for fracking years on empty promises.

Transformational deals that never happen

A massive pile of Tax credits we can’t use up - The aim was to use them up within 3 years, I suppose they could say we didn’t say what 3 years it would be !

Lots of unusually large trades going through today, all listed as sells but looking at the timing and the SP I'm not convinced they are.

Hi Ron, I always check the web site for major shareholders to see if anything changes, I think EnQuest are pretty good at keeping it up to date. I did ask IR a few years ago and if I remember correctly they update it as soon as the receive the information.

It sounded like the Serica deal wasn't what Enq had planned (Only in talks) but a leak to the press from Serica side forced Enq to go public with it so I don't believe it to be the Transformational deal AB was talking about last year and It was mentioned again in the last trading update in May so who knows !

I did ask the question "Was the deal with Serica the transformational deal that AB spoke about" The answer I got was yes a deal with Serica would have been transformational but any deal could be classed as transformational.

Now is the right time to get a deal done, we have a huge amount of Tax credits to use up, without the EPL we would hold no real advantage and the demand for assets would jump up immediately.

As we are we can only tread water, we aren’t making a dent in the remaining net debt pile and shareholder returns are a simple gesture and the share price reflects it.

Why keep on telling us for the past 18 months there is a transformational deal coming when there obviously isn’t one. Feels like a dangling carrot 🥕 that’s been put in front of us.
