Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I'd be amazed if at least one of the deals isn't near completion already; we know two have been on the table for weeks. April is a pie in the sky for me but they necessarily included it in the RNS.
Door Number 3 = Pertamina (possibly).
I started buying at 0.55p and have an average of 0.65p weighted average (previously thought 0.64p but hey). I don't have a huge amount; around 250k. Naturally, this being AIM, there's too much hype around CEB and I have to say that some of that is generated by DW himself. Of course that, too, is par for the course and part of the guy's job. Right now we have 100% of fresh air and excitement. Somehow, though, I have a real confidence in this one and still wonder what it is, exactly, DW and his assembled team actually have to offer people who are already (apparently) producing at a nice rate on their own two legs. $1m cash? That can't be it. What I see is that they appear to have assembled quite a team and they have added people who are also politically acceptable and, indeed, desirable. They're joining the dots to create a much larger beast and I think that that is what these producers are buying into. I reckon assets 1 and 2 are to be cash-generating in order to secure, or partially-secure with a placing, asset 3 ("The Holy Grail") and why not? Many of these small producers are seeing their sale prices decrease and so, quite reasonably, are looking to peg their pricepoints in bed with the team and, ultimately, the beast that that team are trying to build. That's why they might be "Banging the door down". The realist in me sees it as a ballsy strategy but we're in self-imposed suspension, now, and I strongly, strongly, believe that that means a deal is happening that's going to dramatically re-rate CEB. I think it's heppening. I had two sell orders in (one at 1.27p and one at 2.7p (not for everything) and I've just cancelled them both. Think of all the other AIM shells and the way they allow their share price to multi-bag without a suspension. Yes I'm locked in but I think this is about to explode. Ballsy it may be but I think it's paying off, I think asset 1 is about to land, and from there the world, Chica, and everything in it. No Ordinary, for me, tonight. Tonight I drink Tiger. That's how confident I am... Good luck everyone. And to the shorters, the doubters, and Tom Winnifrith? Cheers.
The phrasing "Ongoing business and potential investments" is employed specifically so that it is not material information in itself. Otherwise I guess you'd say "Ongoing mahoosive purchases and gigantic, producing, assets that we've already bought".
Are you going to carry on with this? Following your argument they may as well release the RNS now too. And, following your earlier complaint about releasing price-sensitive information, how can you also be requesting that they tell us ahead of time that there has been an acquisition? Oh boy.
You're talking nonsense. Anything a CEO of any company ever says can be deemed "Price Sensitive" if you look at it in a certain way. Nothing he has said has revealed any material information (e.g. "We've just bought a Sumatran oilfield - fill your boots") Meeting shareholders in a pub. How in the world can you suggest that there is anything wrong with that? And, on those first two points, you've lost any credibility so the rest is for the birds.
....over the weekend. Take your positions now! Oh...... Mwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
to top slice some. Not anymore I don't..... ;)
to be released. If it requires suspension, beforehand, then I smell a significant rerate that can't afford leaking.
No sleep this weekend.
Smash 1.30 out of the way?
said that this was a "Conviction Sell at 0.93p and anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't understand the fundamentals" and, after Chris Oil's massive short, I see we have another crappy day at CEB. Pahhahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
"Anyone who doesn't know (it's a conviction sell at 0.93p) doesn't understand the basics". Perhaps he's describing himself as "Basic" and, in that respect, no I definitely don't understand....
that he recommended we all sell at the bottom of the range today? What a crook.
...this is a "Conviction Sell at 0.93p". Remember that, people, whenever you're tempted to take his advice in the future.
Off to being the long trek to France in the snow. When you see those reports on the BBC about a European whiteout with people stranded on the A2 be thinking of me in there counting my USOP shares.....
10cm of snow in Holland is not what I was hoping for as I begin a drive to France. Trolls? Haven't really noticed them lately. Certainly seem to lack the teeth they had in the good old days.....
It is f f f f f f freezing here.
Did you ask them why that's their position?
Karim is really a lizard. And Brian is really his keeper. And the 'Oil' that they've found is really negative energy that's formed a boiling pink blancmange (or whatever) like it did in Ghostbusters. And the reason that they haven't tested all zones is really because it just got too gloomily depressing for the team and then it became a vicious circle - the boiling pink blancmange made them miserable and their misery fed the boiling pink blancmange. Then they came to write the RNS and just felt miserable so wrote it in a miserable frame of mind which, in turn, also fed the drop in share price because everyone was miserable and the trolls thought they'd won so they grabbed great spoonfuls of the blancmange but that depressed them and the blancmange grew and grew. And now we've got loads. But it's all blancmange. Sadly.
