The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Thanks BumbleB3....... I was hoping that system would be pushed along and the hiring of Michael Loehr our business development guy based in Germany was there to see that through.......That deployment is beginning to sound oh so familiar.... Some more head scratching required.
This one ? Dr Rendall mentions music events and it is were we learnt that AFC were using Enapter 2.1 electrolysers for Extreme E ....so maybe are Enapter suppling their AEM ?.... interview starts around 6-20.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jirODdHgYVs&t=405s

I can see why AFC may want to highlight the various hire companies as they may well have made some form of contact ....but the Balfour Beatty name appearing on the list of existing AFC clients is puzzling along with the omission of Mace /Dragados from that list ......if you care to search you will find Balfour Beatty have been trialling GeoPuro generators .....any thoughts on the system deployed with Warner Bros/ Discovery ?
Page 14 .... case studies.... " We were excited to work with AFC
Energy, successfully trialling their fuel
cell and battery solution in film
production for the first time, and we look
forward to more zero emission
collaborations.”
Heidi Kindberg - VP Sustainability, Warner Bros.
Discovery (HBO/Max) When did this happen ?

You highlighted earlier today ...."The new technology platform is a highly innovative development with no comparable rival." The point being that there does seem to be a comparable rival ....unless AFC provide more meaningful data on their new system it remains unclear that it will produce 5x9's hydrogen ......as you also point out that will open up a huge potential market ......
I started this discussion on the 14th April when i posted a link to a company that were developing an Ammonnia Cracker that could provide hydrogen for PEM fuel cells ..... and questioned wether the AFC system could produce PEM quality hydrogen as there was no mention in the Ammonia Cracker RNS.....So after the AFC Team's trip to Hannover Messe ....where they could see the AMMONPAKTOR reactor system on display.....Have AFC now confirmed the new Ammonia Cracker will produce 5x9's Hydrogen ?.....Would have been nice to see that confirmed in the original RNS ... https://hydrogen-central.com/fraunhofer-highly-efficient-ammonia-based-systems-climate-friendly-energy-supply/
This could indeed get very interesting for an AFC Power Tower deployment ....Vinci have been trialling fuel cell generators for several years now and will have accumulated a vast amount of data ....Should they wish to trial AFC systems then that can only be good news .... https://www.vinci.com/vinci.nsf/en/news-update/pages/hydrogen_a_first_conclusive_test_at_a_construction_site_france_092020.htm
With the AFC team having in Germany for the Hannover Messe....would it be likely they would have met with Julich management to finalise delivery of the 100kW system ... Would that system be part of the 10 .....
On page 28 of the Annual report there is a photo of the Kier system and it is mentioned as being deployed at a site in Southampton .....were we ever told that ? ....The first we were aware was the Plymouth crematorium site .... https://www.afcenergy.com/media/uy0iudzu/afc-energy-2022-annual-report.pdf
Same story slightly different angle .....note the number of Diesel gensets Acciona have ... https://theenergyst.com/afc-leases-hydrogen-run-mega-generator-to-spanish-partner/ ......Shame they do not use a more appropriate photo ...
This is a new variant of an existing product .....and will need field trials later this year ....all good news whichever way you define it ..... It seems AFC are more than capable of suppling besoke systems to the customer .....it is the customer that needs to work out what they need .
Thanks for the feedback ......So it is possible that the new AFC cracker could produce high grade Hydrogen for customers who choose to use PEM fuel cells ?.....The AMMONPAKTOR reactor prototype will be on display at the Hannover Messe from April 17 to 21, 2023 ....joint Fraunhofer booth in Hall 16, Booth A12.....Maybe RK could drop in and get some first hand info ...
It now seems that these people have developed an Ammonia Cracker that produces Hydrogen that can be used in PEM fuel cells .....is there any indication that the new AFC Ammonia Cracker will produce such high purity Hydrogen ? ... There is of course the chance i have misread the article ..... any comments to clear this up ?.... https://hydrogen-central.com/fraunhofer-highly-efficient-ammonia-based-systems-climate-friendly-energy-supply/
BumbleB3
The reason for my post was to draw attention to the Ammonia cracker ....not the development of other products .
We know that Dr Mike Rendall has been working on the improvements to the Diverse energy Ammonia cracker for over 2 years now .....we also know that Acciona witnessed at Dunsfold a sysytem working using an Ammonia cracker ....so the question is are AFC happy to use a 3rd party cracker ? ....or have we been using the AFC cracker that is still being developed ?.....
