Shares in Mobico Group tumbled on Tuesday, after the owner of National Express posted a slide in half-year profits.

Revenues from continuing operations rose 7% in the six months to 30 June, to £1.32bn, but adjusted operating profits slid 12.7% to £59.9m. Pre-tax profits slumped 31.3% to £19.8m.

I agree Cosmens could potentially have a say in the sale of Alsa , to a mutual beneficiary, on the cheap. Then Alsa would be debt free, and Mobico a sunken ship worth nothing.

I think the only way out is to get rid of everything , apart from Alsaa and possibly drive u. They need to walk away from germany too, and take the hit on the bad press. Then we'll aee a re rate, as alsa is making so much profit, it can service the outstanding debt , which hopefully should be lower, after getting rid of the garbage. Before then, 20p is a brutal reality.

Everyone, a lot of us have been in this share for years. Management and guidance is always bad. When a new short is opened, they are always in the know, and a bad RNS drops a few weeks later. I understand that was historical, but keep your eyes open, negative advise can sometimes save you from a big loss.

They won't buy the company out, as the 1.2billion debt would be on their hands. They are like all the other LTH here, desperate to average down, and HOPE the sp recovers

Cosmens have no clue regarding the stock. If they did, they wouldn't have bought in the 50s and 60s, they would have waited until now

There's always bad news., and further write downs. Reckon the next write down will be that they had to spend £100m on new buses . Then had to pay a 15% payrise, then had to pay more interest .... blah blah blah. I think fair value is 18p though , not 3p
