What Dexamethasone Is Used For:
As an anti-inflammatory medication. Dexamethasone relieves inflammation in various parts of the body. It is used specifically to decrease swelling (edema), associated with tumors of the spine and brain, and to treat eye inflammation.
To treat or prevent allergic reactions.
As treatment of certain kinds of autoimmune diseases, skin conditions, asthma and other lung conditions.
As treatment for a variety of cancers, such as leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
To treat nausea and vomiting associated with some chemotherapy drugs.
Used to stimulate appetite in cancer patients with severe appetite problems.
Also used to replace steroids in conditions of adrenal insufficiency (low production of needed steroids produced by the adrenal glands).
Note: If a drug has been approved for one use, physicians sometimes elect to use this same drug for other problems if they believe it might be helpful.

Health is wealth and diet is the best tool we have to protect ourselves from developing cancer. Medical studies have shown that eating two servings a day of broccoli and cabbage may result in as much as a 50 per cent reduction in the risk of certain types of cancers.

With that in mind, Evgen Pharma, a Liverpool-based company aiming to harness the power of broccoli to fight cancer and strokes, should leave its IPO price of 37p miles behind when dealings get under way on the junior AIM market next Wednesday.

Nothing has changed in 5 years, every historical article you read is full of optimism (snake oil) and states that the share price in on the cusp of a massive up move. Today, the hype is still in abundance but what really matters, the share price, is the true reflection of reality.

Exclusive worldwide rights to the patent were held by Evgen Pharma under the terms of a licence agreement with PharmAgra Labs - the US laboratory that invented SFX-01.

PharmAgra Labs, a custom chemical research and development company in Brevard, has been bought by Chinese contract manufacturer Raybow Pharmaceutical. The companies did not disclose financial details.

Raybow is a global provider of outsourced pharmaceutical development and manufacturing services, from preclinical through commercial, for biotechnology and big pharma clients. The company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered in Taizhou, China. It employs 1,400 people worldwide.

Using Money munch analysis of any news coming out regarding Evgen and then adding his now famous spin (see his 9000 plus posts on a multitude of shares) this would be viewed as good news in the world of Moneymunch.
The reality is that we all know how Chinese companies work, copy a product and rebrand it as their own.
Intellectual property rights / patents mean absolutely nothing to them.

Imagine the impact on the share price of Spreadex trying to unwind their 7.7 million share hedge in an illiquid stock like Evgen.
No usual Friday rally this week which tended to be taken back anyway on the following Monday and Tuesday. No safety cushion in place for next week so we'll be testing support. Well, thats unless they suddenly make an announcement that SFX-01 isn't in fact a modern day snake oil but the real thing.

Spreadex has a long position in Evgen shares 7,770,000 shares approximately 5.66 % holding in the company.
They are therefore hedging their customers shorts. This could unwind fairly quickly resulting in Spreadex dumping their holding.

Seems Spreadex has a sizable position in Evgen.
"As you are aware Spreadex offers financial spread bets and CFDs to its clients. It is not part of our business model 'to bet against our clients' and therefore we hedge most of our risk. Such hedging is achieved by buying the underlying stock either as fully paid up stock or a CFD".
They are basically covering the many short positions that customers have taken. In the meantime as the volume is low, its artificially keep the stock price up by Spreadex hedging activities.

Seems there is already an anti - inflammatory medicine already out there. A hefty 14 million premium for a company trying to develop a drug that already exists.

You'll probably find that Money munch started buying at around 25p rather then 7p as he states, got suckered in when he took up the rights issue at 15p and has been licking his wounds ever since. Some of his posts are almost verging on desperation which reinforces my view that he is sitting on a loss and will say anything to get it back up.
Back to reality, the company will run out of cash next September, all the potential around this company since it floated has never come to fruition. 14 million pounds of today's valuation is made up of quite frankly hot air.
Don't get me wrong, they're worth a punt but that's pretty much what it is. The odds are you will lose your investment but there is always hope the same hope most people have when they play the lottery.
The spin around the departure of the CEO has been quite extraordinary, if they were about to announce some kind of massive break through he would have still been at the helm. So please invest sensibly and only what you would be comfortable in losing.
