Didnt Tesco sell and lease back their stores to raise funds to make these foreign acquisition in the first place. Having now sold the investment, surley the most prudent thing is for the funds to go back into the business. Their actions are very short term thinking , and have done the equivalent of equity release on a property.
This could well harm the share price in the future especially if the likes of Morrison are eventually taken over by Amazon.

You have explained it well Reader61, just an additional note (apologies if already covered) if you don't hold these under an ISA wrapper you will have to pay additional tax on any dividends you recieve over £2000 ( dividend income is separate from your capital gains tax allowance). The majority here will be aware of this but there is no harm in repeating if it helps.

PirateFlag - it is a dilemma with this stock as to whether to buy now or wait for a potential further drop.
I can see why you are hesitant especially after all the positive news and still the SP has dropped.
You could always buy half of your intended investment now and then see how things pan out.

Past and present senior management are more then happy talking up this company but rarely dip into their own pocket to back up their excitement.
Stephen Franklin only ever purchased £12460 worth of shares using his own funds, and Barry Clare even less at £8900.
As far as I can see the current incumbent hasn't even bothered.
Admittedly they do recieve share options but if they really believe in their product surely they'd be backing it with their own funds. I think we are being played here.

I do think it would look good if the CEO backs up his excitement with a tangible investment.
Could well have done so already, but I can't see it listed under any director dealings.

Its fully fuelled all checks have been completed and we SHOULD have lift off, lets just hope it clears the tower.
So many false dawns on this one over the last 6 years, you can well see why there are so many cynics among us. Lets just hope this flurry of news is not part of a background marketing scheme to get the share price up for the sole purpose of a cash raising exercise. Just be aware that there is a gap to fill at 10.70p.

They have certainly used up a lot of their prospective news ammunition over the last few days, hopefully the advance will hold and we can build on it.

I agree SuperSonicBoom, you would think on a thinly traded stock such as Evgen positive news would have a magnifying effect to the upside. Gap now needs to be filled at 10.75p. I personally feel its the likelihood of a share placement that is holding these back, a statement from the company confirming future funding sources would be very much welcomed.

Looking at all the potential this company has, it's a bit odd that a big Pharma hasn't stepped in, they are either missing an opportunity of a life time or quite frankly don't think its going anywhere. As you said ontarget, the market seems to be going with the latter. We have lost the momentum again, and on lack of new news will probably drift back down to the 50 dma of 9.58p in the next few days. Wouldn't take much for this to rocket, if they can value a dodgy electric car manufacturer at 698 billion, what price would you place on a cure for cancer.

I do like my charts and tend to deal on the back of this and like to share my views which doesn't always go down well.
All the technicals are looking very positive at the moment, just don't stake you house on it.

My personal view is that its the spread betting crowd rejoining the party.
They are a fickle lot as was demonstrated a month ago so just be a little cautious.

Monday has a tendency to sell off, if we can stay above the 200 and 50 dma over the next few sessions, we could well see a move back to 14p.

Optimism seems ahead of the curve here, let it at least break and stay above the 200 and 50 dma before you pop the cork.

If we break the 50 dma we will test the lower end of the range again.

Really need it to break the 200 and 50 dma to confirm that the down move over the last month is complete.

SuperSonicBoom - sensible strategy, but I'm getting a feeling that we will have a decent Friday rally tomorrow.

I appreciate the volumes are low, but there seems to be a solid base at 8.50p.
Expect a move back up within the next week.
The 200 dma is now at 9.99p, break of that will turn all the signals positive.
IMHO, could well be a good time to dip your toes.
