The delay in spudding Chuditch has cost the long term shareholders in Sunda dearly. Depending on the next finance deal it's one we may or may not recover from.

Interesting week ahead to say the least. I think we will know by Wednesday afternoon what the immediate future holds for Chuditch.

At last months webinar event, AB said the environmental permits could be ready before the Timor-Leste Energy Summit, which begins on Monday.

Do we think we will hear anything significant at next weeks exhibition?

I was hoping it would be the platform for major news regarding the immediate future of Greater Sunrise, Chuditch etc, with a detailed plan of progress.

The closer we get to it though, I have to be honest, my optimism is waneing.

Regarding Sunda Energy, I think we need to get funding, rig hire sorted this year, I don't think it's realistic to be waiting until Feb/March to secure a rig and expect to be drilling within 10-12 weeks.

Judging by other peer companies, the likes of Jade energy had their rig booked months in advance around this time last year.

The next few weeks are critical.

If we are heading into the New year with no progress on funding, rig hire or environmental permits, I can't see the drill going ahead during q2 2026.

We probably need significant news next week at the Timor-Leste Energy Summit to kick-start things in general in the region.

A couple of recent external matters should help the Sunda Energy funding problem. Timor-leste gaining Asean membership, the recent Government budget and the funding allocated for infrastructure etc in getting gas to the island. The introduction of an investment bank for financing new ventures in TL. Possibly a deal on Greater Sunrise.

Sunda Energy has no influence in any of these decisions but it might stand to benefit from them. This time 2 weeks the Timor-Leste Energy Summit will be over, whether good or bad I think we will be a lot clearer on what immediate progress will happen at Chuditch and how high a priority it is given by Timor Gap in particular.

During the last webinar event AB stated that the environmental reports for Chuditch should be ready before the Timor-Leste Energy Summit which is in 11 days time.

If we are serious about drilling in q2 2026, I think we will need finance sorted, drill rig hired and environmental reports completed in the next 7 weeks.

Is this something that is likely to benefit Sunda Energy?

We do seem to be inching closer to significant news.

Wow. Things are finally taking shape.

I think the Timor-Leste Energy Summit later this month will be the platform to announce the Greater Sunrise project going to Timor-Leste.

Im hoping there is news on Chuditch as well, but after having this event postponed for a couple of years I think a deal on GS will be the Summit headline grabber.

Nobody is denying that Chuditch is a monster, but why are we finding it so difficult to get investors? The previous cln deal was dreadful in comparison to how Finder Energy seem to be progressing.

Considering we are scheduled to drill in approximately 30 weeks, I would have thought we would be further down the line, than where we appear to be.

The fact Andy Butler isn't representing Sunda, I'll take as a positive, maybe he has something brewing in the background.

The article is both encouraging and underwhelming. We seem to be edging forward, but as of yet there is no definitive news on funding or rig hire or the environmental reports for the Chuditch-2 drill.

It's not much more than what was communicated during the last webinar event. It does feel like we are closing in on a solution to our drilling commitments at Chuditch-2 but as of yet nothing concrete nailed down

Thats certainly encouraging.

Hopefully there is some left in the pot for us.

I found the webinar a bit underwhelming, no new information, bar a reference to Malaysia a couple of times, which oiltdr suggested recently might be the next project for Sunda Energy.

And Oiltdr, mentioned a possibility of maybe 2 other projects in the pipeline.
