I've been wondering have Timor Gap got what they need from AB, they have the precise location for the drill etc. Will they need his expertise going forward?

I realise this sounds highly sceptical but with all the delays etc, in such a cut throat environment, im beginning to wonder.

Im sure they are other rig contractors in the area, but the elephant in the room seems to be funding.

Timor Gap seem to have no problem financing every other project in their jurisdiction, but the delays with Chuditch seem to be deliberate.

The first part of the environmental permit was submitted in October 2023, I was just checking yesterday. In the proactive investor webinar on 9 Oct this year AB stated he expected the environmental permits to be ready before last months Timor leste energy summit. Just 6 days later it was revised to q4 2025 in a rns.

I know it's not a huge detail, but it's symptomatic of the communication by Sunda energy and the deadlines that THEY set, that are then repeatedly missed, that causes frustration.

That rns on Oct 15 2025 communicated that they expected to hire a rig in q4 and secure the environmental permits. I hope as much as anyone else that they do but as usual the clock is ticking.

Im just looking at what has happened to date under his stewardship and the cln fiasco in April is the reason the sp is where it is currently.

Im hoping he has an ace up his sleeve, but it's hard not to be sceptical at this stage.

If we don't get news this week I think drilling in q2 is unrealistic. This time last year when we thought we would be using the Valaris 247 rig, someone had the schedule for the whole Valaris fleet up and most of the rigs were booked out for 12 months plus. Im sure their competitors are similar.

Its obvious finance is the stumbling block, I don't think you can secure the environmental permits without knowing what rig you will be using, and you can't hire the rig without funding.

Our relatively new cfo doesn't seem to bring a lot to the table since his appointment 12-18 months ago, he was there for the cln debacle in April of this year and from the outside looking in doesn't seem to have added much value or offered any options since joining Sunda.

AB is running out of time to deliver the promises made in an rns only 2 months ago.

There are 2 detailed conditional environmental reports on the Sunda energy website under the projects tab.

Im not sure how long they have been there, but maybe it's the 1st sign of a breakthrough in quite sometime.

If one piece of news comes, it should have a domino effect on the others, but it's painfully slow waiting for the breakthrough.

The frustrating and envious feelings are that every other project in the region seems to be progressing bar Chuditch, it rarely gets a mention.

Is AB going to deliver, or another false dawn.

How close is AB to closing a deal? There are no tangible signs of progress this year, occasional soundbites, vague deadlines that slip by.

Even if we do get finance sorted ( which admittedly would be the stimulus for everything else), will the long term holders be sacrificed like before.

Im probably in here a bit too deep for my own good, but I think he really needs a mind blowing 7am rns sooner rather than later.

It would coincide with the results from the Chuditch-2 drill, if it goes ahead as planned in early q2.

Anyone invested here long term cannot be blamed for being negative. The next deadline that comes in on time will be the first one. Im more than hoping things work out, but it's hard not to be sceptical either.

After everything that has happened this year it's difficult not to be sceptical about Sunda actually committing to a promise.

Thats a worst case scenario, but it still looks like AB is looking for investment and the longer it goes on, the weaker his hand. I expected to hear more from the Summit. It looks like every other project is progressing and Chuditch is forgotten about.

The TL prime minister thought Finder Energy was in Chuditch ffs.

If the long term holders are hung out to dry again, what can they do about it? Nothing, just a poor investment that is heavily underwater, diluted further.

There will be new investors to pick up the slack, while the rest of us walk off with our tail between our legs.

Almost 11pm in Timor leste, I haven't seen a tweet or report or video of today's event. Seems like a very low key end to the 3 day showcase.

AB is speaking at tomorrow's event so hopefully we get some definitive positive news.
