P&O new ship Arvia is currently doing sea trials before arrival on Soton early December. This billion dollar vessel runs on LNG and can accommodate 5200 fare paying passengers. The logistics at Southampton on turnaround day are something to behold. On a busy day, say 5 ships, 20000+ pax can be disembarked and embarked with ships being resuppliesd with stores. It must be huge for the local economy. K

The big danger with the likes of H&W is running out of cash on these big contract as did one of mine Sirius Minerals. Should that happen the Gov won't pump money into, just invite BAe to take it on for a knockdown as FormerFD indicated. K

Income levels are good as bookings across the brands all strong. The fleet at average age just over 12 years is in good shape but there will be disposals as new vessels imminent. Fuel costs easing so the fundamentals are there, it's just the level of debt holding it back. K

Bhants, Just think how long price drops take to show in your local filling station. Carnival ships are bunkering in ports all over the World so oil price drops take time to filter through market to market. K

Devil, The Worldwide race for Spodumene/ Lithium is well advanced with prices at their highest. We need to get some volume out of the ground and processed. Potential won't cut it until we see some results. K

As things return to normal we must remember that Carnival is a cash cow. Passengers pay months in advance for their cruises and then spend more on board. With no prospects of dividends in the near future, the cash generated will service the debt. Likely there will be some vessel disposals as older less economic ships are removed from the fleet. The market across the brands is buoyant with strong bookings reported.
It will take a while but now is a buying opportunity, no doubt. K

Topo, I see you are in Greatland, it's one I've looked at. I'm big in Premier African ( PREM) a miner in Africa with an outstanding asset in Zimbabwe. Their Zulu mine under development has huge Lithium potential. I got in a year or so at .002p now .057p ( just over half a penny ) I own 1 million so when that mine come into production I'll be cruising on Seabourn and still collecting my £150 LOL. K

Topo I love the big seas. Force 10 up there must have been " interesting" I worked in North Central Finland so saw the Northern Lights often.
I think CCL has legs and I see £10 by next Spring.
On cruise forums lots of new small shareholders as those new cruisers see the OBC offer. Whilst I realise small holders don't impact the share price it is building brand loyalty and therefore good for future bookings. Cheers K
