Don't think we've sailed with Capt Sharples but not been on Arcadia or Aurora for some years.

We've ( I ) have looked at Saga, it seems a bit pricey but some nice touches included such as pick up and travel insurance and drinks so worth a consideration with their new ships.

The big issue on P&O seems to be no trays in the buffet, personally not bothered as I try to avoid it.

Yes, we've a steady decline in P&O over the years but still good value I reckon compared to RCI and Princess. As the ships get bigger and need filling they are catering to a different demographic who never experienced what it earlier like.

I met Ludlow at the Arvia naming ceremony, a bit standoffish I found, didn't strike me as a natural leader. K

BJ . Ours was Wednesday. We used the P&O shuttle in the morning, right into the centre opposite the Magazin store, the weather was OK.

Later we returned on a tour which included Tivoli and a canal tour ending at the Mermaid where the tour bus collected us. It poured down in Tivoli so we and half our bus spent our time in a bar paying £10 a pint for Tuborg lager.K

bj. no obvious covid/ norovirus protocols on britannia. no oversight of hand sanitising on entry to the buffet so a few avoid it. the peninsular ****tail party, mixing with officers, including the doctor resumed, but they didn't attend the loyalty lunch.

regular reminder about handwashing in the evening horizon but little else obvious. we were lucky and the baltic weather was beautiful apart from copenhagen so many people on the open decks which helped. k

Bhants. Prem found the new plant needed some adjustment which set back the delivery plans. They also issued more shares to raise working capital to see them through the delay.

We had no such issues on Britannia but 6 people were treated for sun stroke despite it being a Baltic cruise. One poor soul was airlifted off and we diverted to Skagen on the way home to drop off a poorly gent. K

sharehunters . i met the p&o wine guru olly smith in sainsbury's , he suggested the jam shed, shiraz for a party. it was £6.00 per bottle then with 25% off for 6 bottles. i think p&o was £9.00 for a 250ml ( large glass) i mostly drank little eden or rioja whilst madam likes the holy snail or money spider sauv blanc, all fairly decent.

did you have a ****tail party? they resumed them on britannia since the covid pause and the fizz did flow freely. we were 21 nights on arvia last month, loved the dining options. k

Old Boys have arranged a "cultural" tour around the fleshpots we used to frequent while Janette is with the Ladies. 😉

Sunbeam, The worst ones are at the bow. The 8' high steel structure totally block the view.

No doubt to give protection in rough weather but I'd be really pee'd off if allocated one of those. The other issue on deck 8 is that folks put chairs right up against balcony walls, with that and the noise from deck walkers there's no peace. K

We enjoyed Arvia, 3 weeks Caribbean/TA including naming ceremony. Lots of dining choices which we like, not too big for us, we like whichever vessel we are on.

A cash cow for CCL, very busy, Kerching !
