I presume the redundancys were going to happen at daw mill, so there was going to be a cash call 2013 2014 to facilitate the closure. this would be essential for the future profitability of the business. The whole business supports the pensions of many Coal pensioners. So I would think some cash would be borrowed from them? the restructure has already happened at chistmas , so this plc needs to shake things up anyway. SP was going nowhere

this mine was subject to safety problems and was due for closure uk coal produces 5% of uks electricity needs so fundementaly there is a prob for uk gov. presume thay cant just step in to support a plc
