CRES *** ANNOUNCE*** So finally all I can find on this, is a definte in the chronicle which has either quoted or misquoted uk coal ( ps this is not a name, as they are called MINE HOLDINGS, the diggers that is, which is really now a pension fund worth £1, but keeps the countries lights on ) that COALFIELDS IS considering selling off its SIX open cast mines and as we now is in talks over liquidation

Copy and paste lar Contingent Liabilities Following restructuring the Group has a contingent liability in respect of guarantees that it has provided on behalf of Mine Holdings in respect of certain finance leases. At the year-end the outstanding amount payable on these finance leases was £0.4m and they were due to be settled within one year. As disclosed in the Going Concern section of the Directors' Report and note 33 (post balance sheet events), the fire at Daw Mill colliery and the subsequent closure of the mine may have an impact on Mine Holdings' ability to settle the finance leases. The Board expects that should any of the guarantees be called the liability would be up to £0.4m. Additionally the Group had a potential liability of £1.8m in respect of its former VAT group. This liability was settled immediately after the year end.

ps just so you know Kenstaff was part name of our old family dog which was a dalmation. his name when we got him when his owner couldn't cope with him was nig**-....yes can you believe calling a dog that now a days, ( I think it was just innocence in the 70s 80s, as he had monochromatic fur!) his kennel name was lady Jessica of kenstaff, posh for an excellent pedigree hound that lived on stealing school kids pies and sides of ham and corned beef..... his pet name was JASPER. also got knocked down and became Bionic after having metal plates in his leg, he walked half a mile home with 3 good legs after being hit.... bless him

far from breathing FIRE, Fallon reitterates UK gov Spiel, That the Gov dont really want to be landed with 550 million deficit for the UK COAL pension fund, also has to shoulder a few MIners into other forms of employment. (If I was a DAW MILL miner, I would be gearing up to work on Shale gas / renewables businesses, or getting the fishin rods out) Ref recent UK GOV check on GERMANY ( germany calling), 10 Year energy Plan and their phasing out of NUCLEAR ( gosh they let them have Plutonium,??? .... only joking.....no offence intended:->) Germany is heavily dependant on deep MINED coal , having mothballed nuclear and 1/5 of supplies renewables UK gov has been over to our strange talking partners in the Mother land to see how they use coal in their Power Produciton Landscape. This is a major part of their ENERGY plans albeit with CARBON CAPTURE CCS. Ref: post of probably the best piece on CRES next, where the 280 Million Property portfolio has been mentioned, also mentioned is the fact we as shareholders are protected from the mines going down. CRES is to Manage their portfolio of Mines in order to pay the PENSIONERS. FALLON has stated UK GOV is commited to shouldering vital energy supplies so wont let the mines flood or get SHAFTED by the INSURERS.... So rest easy at 3.5 pence, once we have a couple of hundered million in Insurance in the bag and an offer to Buy 2 deep mines or a few surface mines from Hargreaves. we should be able to sleep at night :->

GREAT HAPPY 100TH Bridgo , we need some other posters COALFIELD RESOURCES ( CRES split up all the mines and estates all seperate so a disaster at one pit wouldt ki bosh the lot. theres a mish mash of goings on with pension funds, borrowing and owning to enable pension fund liquidy and make the company ( CRES ) attracitve for shareholders and investors....
