Are you certain these are personal investor shares? It could be as simple as market makers maintaining liquidity in the market?

I agree entirely. It's much better to have the RNS albeit that it suggests now end of year, or early next year..... frankly I don't care provide the project financing is still moving positively towards conclusion. On that basis, I think the message is reassuring and positive for us.

Hi @chromo is it possible that given the debt financing promised is so over-subscribed, some of this may provide equity needed? Debt financing promised is almost $170m over what is required? How does this work? I'm not familiar with this level of detail.

Don't be sorry about disagreeing..... I think actually we agree. I'm acknowledging that the loan approval is contingent on a full set of agreements. This is normal, and of course Atome cannot just make something unconditional..... I do think that the delay in announcing hits confidence in a market. Formally announcing 4 days late is a poor presentation. Compare the RNS when IFC loan was approved to this. The tone much more positive, and clearly it was linked as a step towards FID by end of year, and to the investments expected from IDB, FMO & EIB.

There's some truth in this, but to be fair, it's madness for Atome to wait 4 working days to announce something this significant after the IDB had already broadcast their decision. It sends hugely negative message to the market, that perhaps this is NOT the significant milestone that we expected. I think the key word in the release this morning is "Conditional" - I suggest that the path to turning this to something concrete is still uncertain. Atome IR really ought to get out in front of the shareholders and provide some reassurances. This is extremely muted.

At this point, the lack of any communication from Atome in relation to the IDB financing decision is really shocking. I'm beginning to assume that the senior management are actually deliberately allowing the share price to be walked down to £50p in order to maximise the incentive for institutional investors seeking entry before FID when the announcement is actually forthcoming. The silence is really damaging their credibility.... explain it to me someone?

Personal opinion - I think a dilution would be mad at this price. Down 20% in the last month, so that boat has sailed. Also, recent option were at £.50 so a dilution would be Turkeys voting for Christmas. That said, even if there is a small dilution, I suspect in the grand scheme it would be a short term setback. Critical important is funding and progress on this first project. If that fails, everything fails..... I think patience right now, through frustration. This is a very personal view only..... not a recommendation at all. Do your own DD

The consistent criticism of Atome that many of us feel relates to their comms around investor relations. They often leave this vacuum of information with the inevitable speculation following. Not even an unofficial acknowledgement of the IDB decision is extremely strange. If, as have said previously they are ONLY permitted to avoid issuing an RNS is because the agreement is still subject to contract, (IDB appears to confirm this), then worryingly, the average time from "Approval" to "Signed" status with IDB is around 6 weeks. I hope it's not this long until we get an update!!

It seems beyond doubt that IBD Invest have approved the loan. This was updated on their project status. In these circumstances, I would imagine that Atome have a legal obligation to provide an RNS. The only reason they have not is presumably because the IDB page update had not been anticipated, and that whilst the approval is true, it is not yet contractually binding (Signed). Atome clearly did not have a RNS release prepared!! This would be why IDB have both an approval date, and a signed date, and probably also why they have now updated slightly the project status.

The lack of a contractually binding contract is the only reason that would allow Atome not to RNS this. IMO

IDB status: The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB Invest) has published its proposal for $200 million debt funding for Atome’s Villeta green fertiliser project in Paraguay. However, this is still part of IDB’s normal consultation process and is explicitly described as subject to contract.

Disclosure rules: AIM-listed companies like Atome are required to announce material developments once they are binding or definitive. Since the IDB proposal is not yet finalized, Atome may consider that a further RNS would be premature.

And me? This is a significant event that could influence share price. There is a legal obligation to issue RNS. I don’t understand why they have not this morning

Perhaps they’re very close to FID?? Strange indeed!! I’ve checked IDB about 20 times to check I’m not mad…. It’s definitely APPROVED status.

Have you read that IDB moved the date? Their website is still saying the 11th…. Could it be that it’s just a comms issue? Not unlike those we see a lot here!!

I wonder if there is a legal reason Atome can’t provide more of a “commentary”
