Iran “will not tolerate the continuation of brutal crimes against Lebanon”, a senior spokesman of Tehran’s armed forces has warned.

Ndian vessels ‘fired at by Iran’s navy’

Two Indian vessels have been forced back out of the Strait of Hormuz after shots were fired by Iran’s navy, according to Iranian state media.

It said one of the vessels was an Indian-flagged VLCC supertanker carrying two million barrels of Iraqi oil.

According to audio recordings captured of the incident, the captains of the ships insisted they had been given clearance to cross the strait.
