So, you think the company is dead in the water – fine, that’s your view. Why hang around posting it?

I can think of dozens of companies that I don’t think worth investing in, you won’t find me posting on their boards. Why? Because I focus on stuff I’m interested in. The fact that I think sound is a very good mid to long term investment seems to really bother you (and a few others).

Do I care what you or anyone else on an anonymous bulletin board thinks of me, of course not.

If I’m wrong about sound I’ll lose some money, so what? If I’m right I’ll make some money, great, but not going to change my life either way.

I personally believe that sound is a great mid – long term investment and have acted accordingly.

Oh, I see, you assume that because a bond holder (may) be selling a few shares that means they know the company is fcuked. Hmm, tell me then why did they invest in the first place only a few weeks ago? nothing has changed in the prospects for the negative since then! IF a bondholder is selling there can be a 1000 different reasons that have nothing to do with Sound's prospects. portfolio balancing, pulling out of a strategy, cash call from their investors ....

you simply can't read anything into it, despite the fact that you want to.

I don't remember you shouting how good it was they invested, but you're quick to shout how bad it is when YOU think they are selling.

If your perspective were investing rather than trading you would see that this company has a very significant revenue stream coming on line in the near-mid term from MLng, and a huge revenue stream coming online mid term from Phase2 AND HUGE potential upside from exploration and proving up more assets. If you’re worried about short term sp fluctuations I suppose whether or not the institution is selling might be important to you. Personally I am not concerned. In fact, quite the opposite as it gives me another opportunity to top up with some of this month’s spare cash.

Eye to the mid term prize, not scalping a few basis points here and there.

Of course the obvious reason they 'could' convert early like this is if there was a big/important vote coming up that the company wanted to ensure would pass. this of course requires the holder to be happy to help Sound out in this way AND see this as a route to bigger returns.

The proceeds of the Convertible Notes will, if fully drawn, provide funds for the Company to continue to execute its Phase 1 development of the Tendrara Production Concession and bridge group working capital liquidity ahead of receipt of a receivable as disclosed in the year end results and / or receipt of Phase 1 back costs from Calvalley if a partial divestment is ultimately completed.

that's not how a convertible works.

Sound received the full amount of cash when they bought the convertible.

today's transaction does not generate more cash. Sound issue the shares to the converter but receive no payment now.

The only impact on Sound’s cashflow is they no longer need to pay a coupon on that tranche since it has been converted.

Seems highly unlikely an institution would need to take an instant 42% loss so soon after buying the Convertible.

Interesting to remember the interest rate on this CB is 15%

So why would they convert at a massive premium to current SP and indeed the SP when they bought the CB.

The implication is whatever the motive it outweighs the 15% coupon.

Is it linked to the limit of 20% conversion per month?

Needs some thought, but whatever the reason they want to hold the stock instead of receiving 15% coupon.

There is no way Calvalley's website being down can have any negative implications for Sound.

the more fanciful would imply it's due to an update pending, but of course no sensible web site administrator would take it down until an update was ready.

these are not simple projects, but complex coordinated activities requiring cooperation amongst many parties and approvals from all sorts of government and commercial departments.

the really funny thing is that if you're right you get to say 'I told you so' but if I'm right I make shed loads of money.

frankly the money means more to me than telling complete strangers 'I told you so'

but each to their own I suppose, without the sellers I wouldn't have been able to buy as many as I have.
