RE: Conversion @2.25p1 Sep 2023 18:14
The convert buyer will not have changed their view on Sound in such a short period of time and in the absence of any negative news. These are institutional buyers not prone to the panic attacks of private aim gamblers.
The only difference between holding the CB (convertible to stock) and holding the converted stock is that the CB holder can't vote with their potential holding (as if converted) whereas once converted the holder has the same voting rights as any other holder per share.
Some (kylie et al.) imply that the converter is selling, there is no evidence of this. Sure, there has been selling, but this is AIM and in the absence of news people always sell. Sound is between news, ergo there are sells!
Any price sensitive news (good or bad) MUST be reported via RNS. We have had no news RNS therefore there is no bad news and things are proceeding as we have been told in previous RNS.
To imply the CB buyer is selling because they think Sound is doomed or because they need the money implies that the CB buyer did no due diligence before buying and are hopeless at their own cash management. Both of which seem rather unlikely to me.
Which leads me to think that there may be a big vote coming that they want to make sure passes. I made this point directly to Sound a few weeks back and unusually received no reply. Make of that what you will, but the negative posters saying this means Sound is doomed etc. is just wishful thinking on the part of some very strange individuals.
