The EBA Rule: The European Banking Authority (EBA) issued an opinion stating that any firm providing "Electronic Money Token" (EMT) services (like stablecoin trading) under the old transitional "Safe Harbour" had to stop by March 2nd unless they had already met specific new PSD2/MiCA crossover conditions.

The Validity: GST failed its MiCA application in Lithuania in December 2025. While they shifted to the Polish VASP (Finferno) to stay alive, the EBA's new strictness on payment-related crypto services (which Bake relies on for fiat-to-crypto) likely made the Polish "VASP" status legally insufficient as of this month.

2. The Polish "Legal Vacuum"

This is the part GST likely didn't explain clearly in the RNS: Poland is currently in a regulatory mess.

It is "suspicious" in the sense that they are likely halting because they had to, not because they wanted to "align."

The Reality: They probably received a "Notice of Concern" or realized that their banking partners (like Nuvei or Circle) would no longer support them without a full MiCA license.

The "Bake" Acquisition Risk: Remember, GST bought Bake just over a year ago. If they can't trade crypto, the platform is effectively a "read-only" wallet. This puts a massive dent in the revenue projections they sold to investors in 2025.

There is no reason for a share/company that purports to have news bother now overdue and 'imminent' to be slipping with the general market. one has to ask where the erphoric market buying from the last couple of rns' are and whether the extended deadline isn;t showing that even the remaining warrant holders with minimal profits are taking them, in preference to holding on for big bucks in the near term?

I think it's for you to explain why it was 'good' news... for me, on the outside looking in, it was a terrible announcement with another reerence to MICA but with no mention of if they've applied yet. if they had it would have been very simple to include that info.

for me, they're cost-cutting.

They don't need to 'pull it' for it to align... it would happen with MICA... if they've suspended it it's for other reasons... stop kidding yourself!

What's a 'false drop' when it's at home? it just means the shock give the sp a slow bleed to the dropped price.

i don't mind ramping when thee's something to ramp... but when it's staring you in the face and you still press the 'advantages' then i don't know who the bigger 'troll' is!

I don't have a problem... just v boring to read 'nice posts' talking about this being worth £billions when there's still parties selling repeated clips at low 40s and the only explanation is 'mm games'... i find it laughable that selling that took it to my buy price and still pushing it lower is ignored as 'games'...

i'm happier with my 45 entry than those who were ramping in the 50s... just a bit of honesty in the discussions would be appreciated. but if noone wants to discuss where those shares are coming from, that's fine with me, too. but i'm seeing them...

Those 10k clips are coming from somewhere so, unless you say it's all just 'manipulation' and dismiss them, have to ask who is still selling at this price, as they must know the rampy talk is of multibaggings!

It's not the price you can buy it at but the price you can sell, if you need to.

but some folk are just addicted to 'bargains'... i'd point folk to ENET... 'good news mean 50% bounce for a day but it's still dropping, year after year after year...

I agree with all you say... it's just painful to see blind optimism on a share that has performed miserably still continuing. daresay there'll even be some buying on a drop and then ramping that there's 'easy money' to be made here, now... just not great to see holders and this gut punch even though been so many signs out that that this was potentially going to happen.

The LoI from MKA has a deadline of Friday so could be rns on Friday morning (though deadline is technically post market hours...

then there's the DoEs supply chain awardees but, again, if it's an end of day news dump then it won't be until monday morning for the news...

There's the trouble... 'all out of our hands' is, of course, true. but most investors look for the likelihood to be better than 50/50 to succeed.

with the lack of any clues, beyond a statement that they'd reapply in Q1, there's not a lot to say success is definite.

the stupidity is in knowing the sp is floundering and, without news, there's little growth, a very near term cancellation of Polish CASP, no attempt to reapply for MICA/VASP and then some 'news' about a small office in south America because that's where the big money growth is'... just like btc Treasury was a hedge against a drop in .... oh... no, wait a minute...

Nh, you won't get any serious answers as the silence, tied to what has been... 'discovered' implies that there's going to be yet another course change, partially based on the silence and lack of update on the Q1 reapplication (in spite of what Bfd says) though there's still a week to go so...

beyond that, unless they announce they're on track with previous plan, they're going to move yet again and, if they do, will be once again, puniting it as a positive development, instead of hiding another failed endeavour.

so, hope there's good news next week.

... not as baffling as posters deeply in the red stating that they're going to keep buying...

First, i've been saying that since 0.65, barring a day grade or two...

second, i'm not saying i'd buy at 0.2 as it depends how and why it gets to that price...

third, i'm saying it's a safer bet that something 'might' cause the sp to rise from that level, than this one (and all the other levels since december)...

and, finally, noone's going to sell or be able to sell without there being a prospective buyer and i doubt there's much opportunity for volume selling atm WITHOUT it falling in to the 0.2s.

i gave up on GST as soon as the finferro buy hid thefailure to get MICA... not seeing anything that would encourage me to buy now, at least not until there's some forward guidance to state exactly what their intentions are for the next 12months.
