France's response as a measure of urgency has been for EDF to ask households this week to keep heating to 19 degrees, not to use any washing machine/dishwasher/tumble dryer etc before midday. etc etc..and interestingly, France's electricity is 75%nuclear..so I guess France is exporting electricity like crazy.
BTW the cost of living crisis is thanks to sanctions.
no-one likes Simec's involvement with Atlantis, Simec is Gupta's dad's company supposedly , nothing to do with Gupta! Sturgeon handed Scotland's hydroelectric plant on a plate to Gupta in exchange for his taking on steel company that's why she is keeping so schtum and she okayed the closing of Fairley nuclear plant said she was waiting for better nuclear technology !
listened to BBC inside science last week about renewables...point was made that solar and wind are not reliable but at no point did they discuss tidal; 100% agree SAE should get some proper PR.
thank you Olpps: informed and accurate info always welcome, even on POLY board
sorry folks...spent too long studying history from ancient to modern, to take any news outlet for truth. Even documents from Vietnam War are "unreadable" in spite of them having been typed. Recent example: USA makes a big deal about releasing oil reserves to counter sanctions against Russia...I did not hear the BBC point out that OPEC had told the USA to forget it when approached to increase supply. Ironically, Bloomberg reported OPEC's reply. Think for yourself, read all news items from all sides and try to work out who benefits from any news item.
what does Uncle Joe say...it's the USA pulling the strings.
ASLI's share offers do nothing for investor confidence...prefer ASEI if you want to stay with ABDN, if not there are other REITS /property companies worth a look.
HL have a very good website offering for retail clients but they have some bizarre practices, esp dividend reinvestment window which just look like the taking of the proverbial liquid...if they want the thumbs up from the personal money pages, they have to sort their attitude
glad to hear they are all paid so well
Russian oil sales to India reportedly at 20% discount....not helping oil price.
does it suit USA to keep pouring cold water on talks?
European consumers, macro and micro, are bearing the brunt of the product sanctions....not to mention UN famine relief programme etc.
This sector must be booming, trading updates for sector confirm but SP sad and company hoovering up shares in buyback programme..net result, share price continues down....was there ever any reason why buybacks were good for PIs?
dividend paid 11th March...would have been nice to have had it reinvested then...averaged down 1.04 anyway but!!
